Masan Korean set meal for two with an extra grill plate: Yun Sikdang

Today I'm writing about Yun Sikdang (윤식당), a Masan Korean set-meal favorite! It's a place I've been back to, and it stands out so much that I think once you go, you'll end up going again too ✨♥️ The staff are friendly and the Korean set meal is generous every time I visit, so that's where I'll start my recommendation.

How are the wait and parking at Yun Sikdang in Masan?

Yun Sikdang on Bukseong-ro in Masan is packed whenever you go, so a wait is a must! Still, the turnover is better than you'd think and the inside is spacious, so the line clears faster than expected.

Yun Sikdang has no dedicated parking lot. Most people park on the road right in front, but just in case, I'd recommend using a nearby paid lot -:)

Is the inside of Yun Sikdang big enough for group gatherings?

As soon as you walk in, there's a row of waiting chairs and a waiting list ready. You can really feel how popular this Masan Korean restaurant is.

The inside is bigger than I expected, so I thought it could handle company dinners or group meetups too! It's always pleasant and clean, so I can come without worrying, and above all it's an open kitchen where you can even see the kitchen floor, and it's really clean, which makes me trust the place. ☺️☺️ The food is as clean as what you can see.

If you just join the tables together, it's perfect for groups! I figured a group meetup or company dinner would work well. Company dinners these days aren't about drinking like they used to be, so enjoying a Korean set meal sounds nice.

Every time, they lay down the disposable tablecloth you'd get at a raw fish restaurant, so I can trust the place even more! No icky feeling at all. Cleanliness is always Yun Sikdang's strong point.

Food comes out really fast at Yun Sikdang, so you can eat and leave quickly, which I like even more -:) It seemed perfect for when you need to eat in a hurry.

This is the spread that came out first, before the doenjang stew (soybean paste stew). Generous, right? My favorites at Yun Sikdang are the steamed egg that comes as a basic side and the grilled bulgogi. This day we even added extra bulgogi and really enjoyed it ♥️☺️✨🫶🏻

Among the many Korean set-meal restaurants in Masan, Yun Sikdang is popular for a reason. The food is clean, the number of dishes is always neatly served, and the taste stays almost the same every time, which is another plus. There's definitely a reason it's loved so consistently.

At Yun Sikdang you can add grilled bulgogi, fish, spicy marinated crab and doenjang stew, so you can enjoy even more, which I liked. The prices were reasonable for what you get too!

Can you get refills on banchan at Yun Sikdang?

If you run short, the banchan at Yun Sikdang can be refilled! Personally I think side dishes matter at a Korean set-meal restaurant, and Yun Sikdang's are just right to eat with rice, so they're easy to enjoy.

With the doenjang stew out too, the perfect Yun Sikdang table was ready. A great spot for a really filling Korean meal for two! I've been craving a Korean set meal lately and Yun Sikdang came to mind without a second thought, so that's where I went.

If you bring your parents to this Masan Korean restaurant, they're sure to love it ♥️ It's surprisingly hard to find a Korean restaurant this clean and neat, don't you agree?

Even the doenjang stew that comes standard at Yun Sikdang is generous and just right. It's full of ingredients, and with rice it's simply a perfect match.

Halfway through eating, my husband and I went, we have to add this, haha. My husband loves meat anyway, and lately I've been into marinated meat like this. We decided to eat as much as we wanted and ordered more right away: Yun Sikdang's grilled bulgogi! So good 😍

Japchae, fish cake and young radish kimchi: Yun Sikdang banchan I remember

The japchae (glass noodle stir-fry) at Yun Sikdang is really good too.. It's perfectly salty and I keep going back for more! The long, seasoned fish cake is a highlight too.

I never used to like cold food, but lately I'm hooked on yeolmu kimchi (young summer radish kimchi)! It comes standard at Yun Sikdang and I enjoyed it a lot.

Steamed egg that's fine even if you're sensitive to egg smell

I love Yun Sikdang's steamed egg so much! I'm really sensitive to the fishy smell of eggs, and Yun Sikdang's steamed egg has never once had that smell, which I love.

How big was the ₩8,000 extra grill plate?

Adding grilled bulgogi at Yun Sikdang costs ₩8,000 extra, and I was very happy with how generous the portion was for that. It was tender with no gamey smell at all and the seasoning was just right, a total win for Yun Sikdang!😍😍 Had a delicious meal again today.

I'd recommend Yun Sikdang to anyone looking for a good Korean set-meal restaurant in Masan! It's on Masan's Furniture Street, so it's easy to reach from anywhere, and while you're there you can combine a visit to the fish market and Changdong.
