We came to Jangsodam Eel and Beef Buffet Cheongna Main Branch (장소담 청라본점) for a friend's birthday, to treat ourselves to some greasy goodness after a long while. If you ask me where the best-value place in our neighborhood is, this is the first one that comes to mind.

Jangsodam Cheongna parking, interior and kids' playroom

Jangsodam is on the 2nd floor of the Parking Tower Dome building, so the parking lot is huge and it's really, truly easy to come by car, and the inside is very spacious too. This all-you-can-eat beef champion in Cheongna works for company dinners, family meals, get-togethers with friends and even dates.

In one corner there's even a kids' playroom, which is hard to find these days. Baby chairs are ready too! Not many big restaurants have playrooms now, right? When I was little there were so many, but Jangsodam has one, so adults and kids can all eat and enjoy themselves.

Jangsodam Cheongna is an eel and beef all-you-can-eat spot, and the menu is split by course, so you can pick the one you want.

Sundae and offal at the Jangsodam self-bar

The Jangsodam self-bar has sundae (Korean blood sausage) and also offal like liver and lung. I finished ordering on the kiosk on the table and headed to the self-bar. I've been here many times, but there's one thing I never forget to pile on every visit. And that's sundae!

Ahh, sundae lovers are just happy. There's lots of other tasty stuff too, like sweet and sour pork, tofu kimchi, pizza and french fries, but you'll be full from the meat, so I recommend taking only a little at first.

Which cuts come in the six-cut beef C Set?

We ordered the C Set, with unlimited six cuts of beef 🥩 Sirloin, skirt steak, flap meat, beef belly, chuck ribs and rib meat come as standard, and you can order yukhoe (Korean beef tartare) and marinated crab from the kiosk.

There's a self-bar with basic wrap vegetables and all kinds of sauces, free to use. Personally, the scallion salad and pickled onions go really well with the beef!

Tender skirt steak and rib meat, plus chewy sirloin: Jangsodam Cheongna lets you enjoy many cuts of beef freely without any pressure.

My friends, who were at Jangsodam for the first time, took one bite of beef each and both opened their eyes wide and kept being amazed.

The quality is killer.

More than just all-you-can-eat, Jangsodam in Cheongna serves prime-grade beef. It melts in your mouth and is really delicious.

Yukhoe (beef tartare) refilled twice while the beef grilled

The yukhoe you can enjoy while the meat cooks is a Jangsodam specialty too. The cold yukhoe has a really charming way of melting in your mouth as you chew. No smell at all and so delicious that I refilled it twice, haha.

Beef belly wrapped with scallion salad and pickled radish

Jangsodam's beef belly cooks in a few seconds once it hits the grill, and the fat and lean are nicely mixed, so the nutty richness is amazing. Personally I really like beef belly with a little fat mixed in, and I recommend eating it with scallion salad and ssambu (pickled radish wraps). You can roll up as many as you want ^ㅡ^

Finishing with marinated pork ribs

After refilling the beef two times or so, we were stuffed, but we decided on pork ribs as our last supper. The pork quality at Jangsodam is really good too, and personally I found these marinated ribs especially tasty.

The thick ribs are soaked through with sweet marinade, a flavor everyone from kids to grandparents will like. It's sweet and salty, so it's also great to serve kids with rice.

Are rice and dessert free at Jangsodam Cheongna?

At Jangsodam Cheongna the rice is set up in a corner, so you can have it free without ordering extra bowls. Where else can you find a rice place with such value? ><
