I was looking for a café near Gangnam Station where I could use my laptop in peace, and I stumbled on Selected Nicks in Gangnam. Big cafés around Gangnam Station usually have a reputation for being crowded with tight seating, but this one was spacious, with lots of outlets and all kinds of seats. Very, very satisfied!
I brought my laptop and went with a friend, and we worked and drank coffee for quite a long time. The seats were so comfortable and roomy that we lost track of time. For anyone looking for a good place to study or work near Gangnam Station, here's my review from the visit!

Where is Selected Nicks, and what about parking and hours?
Selected Nicks is a large café with a parking lot, about a 6-minute walk from Gangnam Station Exit 3. You just turn in a little off the main road, so it wasn't hard to find even on my first visit. It's easy for people who drive, and a large café with parking is rare in Gangnam!
It's open from 8 a.m. to midnight on weekdays and from 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on weekends, so it looked fine for a coffee before work or for working late in the evening. Whole cakes can be reserved, and there's an elevator, so getting around was easy. You could come with your parents or on a day when you're carrying a lot of stuff, no problem haha.
Floor-by-floor vibes and seating at Selected Nicks
Selected Nicks uses several floors from B1 up as café space, and you can go up to the rooftop too. What surprised me most when I walked in was the scale! The whole feel was different from a typical large café around Gangnam Station..
Each floor had a slightly different atmosphere. On some floors lots of people were working on laptops, and on others people were chatting with friends or studying. Being able to pick a seat to match what you're doing was really satisfying.

3F: laptop seats with lots of outlets
The 3F, where I sat, has outlets all over the place, so I could use my laptop without worrying about charging. At another café in Gangnam I once walked around several laps hunting for an outlet seat, but here that hassle was almost nonexistent. Hahaha.

2F: three-person tables, good for groups or studying solo
This is the 2F! Selected Nicks has a short introduction for each floor, and the 2F looked good for gatherings or for studying alone. The tables are basically set up for three, so sitting alone, as a pair or as four doesn't feel awkward.

B1: plush chairs and a clean restroom
This is the basement, and I loved how neatly the seating was arranged. The chairs in particular are plush, so I don't think your back would hurt even after sitting for a long time. The basement restroom was also very clean, and I really liked that. :->
8F and the rooftop
This is the 8F. On weekdays it's available after 5 p.m., and it looked really good for renting as a space for a seminar or a gathering!
I also recommend going up to the Selected Nicks rooftop. It was a clear day, so the city view opened up wide, and it was nice for a quick breath of fresh air. I only went up for photos and came back down, but the atmosphere was still pretty great. I bet it's amazing at sunset.

What desserts does Selected Nicks have?
In the morning they had baked sweets like financiers (small buttery almond cakes), and in the afternoon several kinds of salt bread came out! I came downstairs to order dessert and coffee and browsed the display case.

This is the tiramisu Selected Nicks is known for. Besides the original, there are banana, pistachio, raspberry, strawberry, carrot, matcha and more. Looks good for sharing when you come with several people.

These financiers look so delicious.. I can't make financiers at home, and Selected Nicks piles on the toppings, so I ended up picking two.

What I ordered and the prices
This time I ordered two iced Americanos, a fig financier and a matcha chocolate financier. The Americano was ₩6,000 and the financiers were ₩4,500 each, which isn't a heavy price considering Gangnam prices.

There's such a variety of desserts that I found myself wanting to try the salt bread next time. The bakery display was neatly arranged, and in the afternoon there's freshly baked bread too, so what you can choose changes with the time of day, which I loved!

Finding a seat at Selected Nicks: when is it less crowded?
When I visited on a weekday morning, there were quite a few empty seats, so I could pick the spot I wanted without rushing. There was plenty of room for me and my friend to sit side by side and open our laptops.
But after a few hours, customers increased quickly as the afternoon went on. By the time we left, most of the good seats were taken, so I think there could be competition for seats at popular times.
Personally, I recommend checking for empty seats before you order. The space is so big that it's better to look around several floors and pick the atmosphere you want rather than deciding after seeing just one floor haha.

How do the iced Americano and financiers taste?
The iced Americano at Selected Nicks had a rich flavor from the very first sip. The serving was generous, so it was nice to sip slowly while working on the laptop, and the taste didn't change much as time went by.

The fig and matcha chocolate financiers were better than I expected! The toppings are piled on generously, so every bite had a rich texture, and it went well with the moist batter.
Why I recommend Selected Nicks as a study café near Gangnam Station
Above all, I loved the space! Before, finding a café in Gangnam where I could open my laptop meant tight seating and worrying about how long I'd stayed, but at Selected Nicks I barely felt that pressure. Even after working for a long time, the wide spacing between seats kept it from feeling stuffy, and the outlets were close, so I was much more productive.
If you're looking for a large café near Gangnam Station where you can study, a café with parking, or a good place to work on a laptop, I recommend Selected Nicks. :->
