Why did I end up using a car oil film remover in the bathroom?
When you're looking after a child, you keep putting off bathroom cleaning. The shower booth glass and bathroom mirror had cloudy water marks all over them, but it wasn't easy to find the time.
I finally found time to clean, but I had run out of bathroom cleaner. So I pulled out my husband's AutoGrooming CleanView Oil Film Remover from his car-washing supplies. It started out of curiosity: could a product for car glass work on bathroom glass too?
How did I clean the shower booth glass and mirror?
This time, I cleaned the shower booth glass and bathroom mirror. Since it is originally for removing oil film from car glass, I tried it without huge expectations.
First, I sprayed plenty of water onto the surfaces and evenly sprayed on CleanView. While they were still wet, I rubbed broadly with the included dedicated towel about five times. I did not have to press hard or scrub aggressively, so it was easier on my arms.
How did the water marks and water flow change after rinsing?
As I rubbed with the towel, the whitish water marks and oil film sitting on the surface gradually disappeared, and the surface felt smoother. After a final thorough rinse with the showerhead, the glass looked clearer than before.
I could feel a difference when I sprayed water on it again, too. Before, water droplets would bead up and remain like stains, but after cleaning, I could see the water running straight down. The mirror also looked clearer with the bathroom light on, so the cleaning felt worthwhile.
What made cleaning easier while caring for a child?
The most convenient thing was that it came with a dedicated towel. I could start cleaning without preparing a separate cloth or tools. It felt manageable enough to finish without stress even while my child was taking a nap.
The amount also felt more generous than I expected. I think it could be used for several cleaning sessions, and I liked the results from cleaning the glass and mirror this time, so I found myself reaching for it again for bathroom cleaning.
