Last Friday after work I was craving sushi. So I went searching and ended up at Mikado Sushi Seosan Branch 🍱🤍 The flat ₩2,100-per-plate price is easy on the wallet, the sushi was fresh, and I loved that they make things right away when you ask!!

This is the exterior of Mikado Sushi Chungnam Seosan Branch. It's on the first floor of Hanseong Housys in Seokrim-dong, and the building itself looked clean and tidy.
Is parking easy at Mikado Sushi Seosan?

Parking at Mikado Sushi Chungnam Seosan Branch is fairly easy. There are spaces in front for the officetel shops, and across the road there's another lot just for Mikado Sushi, so parking is no problem!
How long is the Friday evening wait at Mikado Sushi Seosan?

It was past 7pm on a Friday, and there was a wait, with customers coming in nonstop 〰️ At a conveyor sushi place, turnover is directly tied to freshness, so that's important, and that's why the sushi here is always fresh. The waiting area also has a TV, so we could wait comfortably haha

Seating layout and kiosk ordering at Mikado Sushi Seosan
Mikado Sushi in Seosan has an L-shaped layout of belt and tables. The front is bar seating like a typical conveyor sushi place, and on the left there are tables where you can sit facing each other.

After waiting about 30 minutes, we were led to a table seat 🍀 The tables at Mikado Sushi Seosan Branch have a kiosk too, so you can order the sushi you want right away. Pickled ginger-style rakkyo (pickled scallions), wasabi and soy sauce are set out beside you.
A really wide variety of sushi was moving along the long conveyor belt. It looked like they had just about every kind of sushi, so just watching it was fun.

There were also baby chairs at one side of Mikado Sushi in Seosan, so it looked like a good spot for a family meal out 👍

Which 2,100-won sushi plates were best?
Flounder sushi
The first thing I picked was flounder sushi 🐟 For a flat ₩2,100, it was surprisingly fresh and high-quality flounder.

Salmon gunkan with garlic sauce
This is a gunkan (battleship-style sushi roll) of salmon topped with garlic sauce, and it was really good. The salmon was springy and soft, so the combination worked well.

Grilled tilapia belly
This is grilled tilapia belly that tastes like eel. It was so tender and the sauce was so good that I had it twice.

Sushi rolls with sauce
I also love these sauced rolls, so I enjoyed them ❣️ There's no sushi that Mikado Sushi Seosan Branch doesn't have, it seems T_T

Baby octopus sushi and other favorites
I thought it was octopus, but it was webfoot octopus (jjukkumi) sushi! It was still springy and really fresh ᰔ
Shrimp, aged kimchi flounder, beef brisket sushi, raw shrimp, onion salmon... I took down all my favorites and dug in 🤤

At conveyor sushi places I usually set a plate count in my head, but Mikado Sushi was so good that I just ate with no limit T_T It was still cheap, though.

2,100-won ramen
I tried the ₩2,100 ramen at Mikado Sushi Seosan Branch too. It had big pieces of chashu (braised pork), and the noodles were tastier than what I get at ramen shops.

So many kinds of sushi were going around the belt that at first I kept grabbing from it, and later I used the kiosk to order extra of the sushi I wanted again and wolfed it down.

27 plates for two: how much was the bill at Mikado Sushi Seosan?
Two of us ate 27 plates... 🤤🤍 Still, it came to the ₩50,000s, under ₩30,000 per person! I got a discount through Supermembers, but most of it was paid out of my own pocket, and since the sushi was really good, I'll probably go back next time.
Final verdict on Mikado Sushi Seosan
At Mikado Sushi Seosan Branch the belt is constantly full, so browsing and picking is fun, and even extra orders get made quickly, so both freshness and the ordering system fully met the needs of a sushi lover ♡ It's famous among Seosan and Dangjin locals, with waits even on weekdays. I recommend visiting Mikado Sushi when you eat out :)
