Solo journaling café in Hapjeong: Peach-Punch Geisha, Central Site

In short

Central Site Hapjeong is a drip coffee café in Mapo, Seoul, with a roasting room at the back of the shop, about a 2-minute walk from Exit 2 of Hapjeong Station. On a weekday afternoon visit alone, the writer ordered the staff-recommended Colombia Quebraditas Geisha Washed Peach-Punch drip (12,000 won) and a classic tiramisu (8,500 won), then caught up on a diary in a corner seat. Central Site Hapjeong is a good place for solo café time, with bright, tangy drip coffee and moist tiramisu.

What kind of café is Central Site Hapjeong?

Central Site Hapjeong is a Hapjeong café about a 2-minute walk from Exit 2 of Hapjeong Station, and it's the second branch after Central Site Yeonnam. The Yeonnam branch has three floors including a rooftop, so the Hapjeong one feels pretty cozy by comparison. And it's almost been 2 years since I went to Yeonnam?! Time flies...

Exotic-looking exterior of Central Site Hapjeong
Exterior and terrace seats at Central Site Hapjeong

The exterior has an exotic feel, and since the weather was nice, quite a few people were sitting on the terrace. I thought about sitting outside too, but I wanted to write in my diary, so I grabbed a seat inside haha

Central Site Hapjeong menu and what I ordered

After looking at the menu, I ordered the Colombia Quebradita Geisha Washed Peach-Punch (₩12,000) and a classic tiramisu (₩8,500).

Display of Central Site's signature tiramisus

Central Site's signature tiramisus... the most basic classic tiramisu, a brownie tiramisu that looks sweet just by looking at it, and a cute Mont Blanc tiramisu. You can't come to Central Site and skip the tiramisu (?)

Inside Central Site Hapjeong, with its roasting room

There's a roasting room at the back of the café, so the nutty smell of roasting beans kept drifting through. It's been a while since I smelled this... addictive...

Central Site Hapjeong is smaller than the Yeonnam branch, but it still has quite a few tables.

Even on a weekday afternoon, there were lots of customers. I love this weekday leisure so much...

How does the Colombia Quebradita Geisha Peach-Punch drip taste?

The Colombia Quebradita Geisha Washed Peach-Punch is an acidic bean with a bright fruity aroma. I got it on the staff's recommendation and it was exactly my taste. It wasn't harsh at all: light, with a fresh fruity scent, and really delicious.

They bring the cup filled right to the brim, and I wonder how they carry it without spilling... I was nervous about spilling it at my first sip haha

Central Site classic tiramisu

The classic tiramisu at Central Site Hapjeong was very moist. The generous chocolate on top is the kicker! Moist, soft, sweet and delicious. I think it would have gone really well with a latte too.

Writing my diary solo at Central Site Hapjeong

Catching up on my overdue diary at Central Site Hapjeong... I was definitely going to write every day, or well, at least every other day, but a week passes in the blink of an eye and I always end up a once-a-week diary writer... Writing my yoga log and diary over coffee and tiramisu made the time fly.

My traces... It was a little corner (?) seat, which made it even cozier haha

It was nice to enjoy a relaxing solo café time after so long ^_^ This is Central Site Hapjeong, a Hapjeong café with great tiramisu.
