Jeonpo's Sarugak20 is a curry restaurant on the basement floor of 78 Seojeon-ro 68beon-gil, Busanjin-gu, Busan. It's open 11:00–19:00 and closed every Monday.

How to get to Sarugak20 from Jeonpo Station Exit 8
Coming out of Exit 8 of Jeonpo Station, it's just a short walk away, so it was really convenient to get to by public transit. Even if you're bad with directions, you'll spot it easily from the street~

The store sits in the basement, and even the stairs down to the entrance had a nice vibe haha. Between the lighting and the little props, my expectations were already up before I even walked in!

The goods and props corner you can browse while you eat
Once you step inside Sarugak20, the interior is decorated in a cute, charming way. Right next to the dining area they also sell some small branded goods you can browse~ It was perfect to look around either before the food arrives or after you finish eating!

You could tell a lot of thought went into the cute props scattered around the space. And near the counter, they also sell frozen curry so you can enjoy Sarugak at home! If you loved the food, it seems like a good idea to grab some to take home on your way out ^^

Seating at Sarugak20, from solo diners to groups
The seating layout inside Sarugak20 was pretty varied. Between the 4-person tables, group seating for several people, and bar counter seats that make solo dining easy, it looked convenient to visit no matter how many people you're with.

Sarugak20's menu prices and topping add-ons
The menu basically has two types, cream curry and special curry, plus a half-and-half curry option where you can try both. You can add toppings to taste — scrambled egg, sausage, croquette, tonkatsu, and more — so there's fun in mixing and matching. Overall the prices are on the cheaper side, so the value for money is excellent haha.
What the half-and-half curry looks like when it arrives
We ordered the half-and-half curry with added scrambled egg. The plating came out so clean and pretty that I ended up taking photos before eating 🤍 The two curries were neatly divided, which made it look really appetizing.

The scrambled egg we added came piled thick and appetizing on top of the curry >_< The eggs were fluffy with visible texture, and eating them together with the curry sauce made the whole thing feel even softer!
Special curry and cream curry in one bowl
The special curry had that deep, rich flavor of Japanese-style curry, and the snow cheese on top added extra savoriness. The cream curry wasn't sharp at all — it was smooth and easy to eat without any heaviness. When you can't decide, I'd definitely recommend the half-and-half curry so you can try both👍

Brisket cream curry piled with beef brisket
Next up was the brisket cream curry, and I was surprised at how much more brisket was packed in than I expected. If you love meat, this is a dish that's hard not to like 🤍
The brisket itself was seasoned slightly salty, so it was tasty even eaten straight off the top without mixing it into the curry. The more you chewed, the more savory it got.

The chewy texture of the meat went really well with the smooth cream curry sauce. Piling the rice, curry, and meat together in one bite gave a really satisfying, mouth-filling feeling ^__^

Grapefruit ade for 2,500 won
For a drink we ordered one grapefruit ade, and at ₩2,500 it was incredibly cheap! There was plenty for two people to share, and it was great for a refreshing palate cleanser in between bites of curry, so I really recommend ordering one🧡

Sweet potato cheese croquette, the side to add
The sweet potato cheese croquette we added as a side came out with two pieces topped on a crunchy cabbage salad. The golden-fried shape stirred up the appetite.

Since they fry it fresh right when you order, we got to enjoy it piping hot with steam still rising. The outside was crispy and the inside stayed moist — all the charm of good fried food was intact.

Taking a bite, the inside was packed with soft, sweet mashed sweet potato and savory cheese. It also went well dipped lightly in the curry sauce, making it a perfect side dish👍
