Paju bakery café at opening, Alligator bread, Paju Pay: On the Rail

I visited On the Rail (온더레일), a café near Imjingak in Paju that stays open late into the night 🚂 The weather was lovely during the day, but I bet it's pretty in the rain, in the snow, in the evening, and at night too 🤍

How to get to On the Rail in Paju

On the Rail is at 25 Imjingak-ro, Munsan-eup, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do, near Imjingang Station. Just put the address into your map and you'll get there, but you have to cross a railway track to get into the café! 😉

Size and parking at On the Rail

On the Rail is a one-story café and it's fairly big. Best of all, the parking lot is wide and comfortable, which I loved haha. They said you can do a fire pit too, but that's something for the evening.. or maybe autumn.. just my recommendation, hehe.

Drinks and Wi-Fi at On the Rail

On the Rail has coffee and fruit juices, and Wi-Fi is available, which I liked! (Almost everywhere has it these days,, haha. But still!)

Breads, cookies and cakes at On the Rail

On the Rail had breads and cookies, and I went with the Alligator, which I always like! I love nuts, so ( •̀ ω •́ )y

Cake-style breads

There were all kinds of cake-style breads!! I went almost right at opening.. (T_T) so the yummy breads only came out after I had already ordered.. sob. I want to try the cake with fruit on top, hehe.

Go a little after opening time

On the Rail has everything from green onion toast and pepperoni toast to salt bread, loaf breads, croissants and brioche.. I was surprised at how many kinds of bread there were haha. Don't show up right at 11, go around 12 or so (?) haha. Weekends might be better.. haha. Anyway haha, I was so happy to discover such a nice café, hehe.

On the Rail train timetable, no outside food, Paju Pay

On the Rail posts a train timetable haha. But.. there aren't many trains..? Hahaha.. lol. Outside food isn't allowed. And you can pay with Paju Pay (Paju's local currency card), which was great! The Paju Pay incentives are good, so I use it a lot 💳

Inside On the Rail and the 1.5 floor

On the Rail also has an interior and a 1.5-floor space. I feel like the sunset view must be pretty here! I want to come back in the evening, hehe.

What I ordered at On the Rail and the prices

As always, I had an iced americano, and I also ordered a caramel macchiato, a vanilla latte and a strawberry latte! The Alligator was ₩5,000 and it was pretty big and good. Recommended for nut lovers! haha. Adding it all up, it came to ₩32,000 (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)

How were the drinks?

The coffee at On the Rail smelled so good, and the vanilla latte, caramel macchiato and strawberry latte taste like something anyone of any age would like! I think kids would happily drink the strawberry latte.

Self bar, oven, microwave and restroom at On the Rail

On the Rail has a self bar where you can grab straws, napkins and so on, plus a mini oven and a microwave, and the water purifier is near the entrance!! The restroom is inside the café too, which was nice haha! Everything at On the Rail was tidy!

On the Rail opening hours: perfect for a night drive

On the Rail is open from 11 AM to 2 AM, and only on Sundays until midnight! ( •̀ ω •́ )y It's perfect for stopping by on a late-night drive! Oh, I want to go right now (?) Next time I'm stressed out on my own, need a mood reset, or feel like a drive, I'll go. And the view of the railway track I could see on the way home too! Highly, highly recommended for sorting out your thoughts!! That's the kind of café it is, hehe.
