Gyeongju mochi takeout shop with a whole fig inside: Tareudang
Tareudang is a takeout fruit mochi dessert shop on Sajeong-ro along Hwangridang-gil in Gyeongju. Already full from lunch, the writer packed one fig yogurt mochi and one pineapple mochi at 5,500 won each and cut them open to find a whole fig tucked inside chewy rice cake, which made buying only two feel like a mistake. Tareudang mochi loses some of that chew after a night in the fridge, so it is best eaten the same day.
