Why did I stop at Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch?
Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch (오터스 지산샛강 본점) is a large bakery café in Gumi known for its soft cream doughnuts. My husband's family home is in Gumi, so I stopped on the way to buy a gift for the in-laws and rest for a bit haha

Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch is open daily from 11:00 to 22:00, and you can park in front of the store. Local currency is accepted too.
The parking area in front is really roomy. I had an early lunch and arrived at 12, and after mealtime ended there were so many people!
There are lots of photo zones here, so I took one shot too.. hahaha
How big is the inside?
Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch is a big store with two floors. The inside was really, really huge!! Half of the building has an open high ceiling, so it feels wonderfully airy.
What cream doughnut flavors does Otters have?
The cream doughnuts at Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch come in a huge range, from basic signatures to fruit flavors. This is why I came here~~ the round, soft cream doughnuts.

It's a bakery café, so there are plenty of meal-style breads too. The BLT sandwich, croquette (korokke, a fried breaded patty) and salt bread are the signatures! The breads are covered with thick plastic sheets, which I thought was hygienic haha
What did I buy? A choco bomb baguette and 4 cream doughnuts
This day at Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch I bought the new choco bomb baguette, 2 milk cream doughnuts, and a crème brûlée, a black vanilla and a strawberry cream doughnut. I really wanted a sugar boost, so I got the choco bomb baguette!!! Just one look at all the chocolate packed in grabbed my attention lol

Are there caffeine-free drinks?
The drinks at Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch are classic menu items, and there are especially many non-coffee options~ As someone who can't have caffeine, I'm so happy about this place.
The breads and drinks I took away, all packed up~ Aren't the orange accents so pretty?
An iced Americano and a thick, rich blueberry yogurt smoothie. In summer I reach for smoothies all the time, so I like that there's a good variety.
How does Otters wrap doughnuts as gifts?
The cream doughnuts at Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch have cream piped right into them, so the packaging makes a great gift. I boxed 4 doughnuts, but they said all the 4-count boxes were gone that day ㅠㅠ so they used a 6-count box.
They put a clear lid inside so the doughnuts won't slide around, which I count as a thoughtful touch. The 4-count box is normally the brown one on the left~
How did the cream doughnuts taste?
The Otters crème brûlée doughnut had a crackly crust! If you chill it in the fridge for a bit before eating, it's crunchy and really good.
The basic milk cream is a must, and the black vanilla had a custard aroma that hits you right away, a crowd-pleasing flavor.
Now the mukbang (eating show) begins~ This is the milk cream doughnut. Can't you feel how moist and soft it is just from the photo..?
The moment you bite the milk cream doughnut it's soft and mildly sweet, and you end up chewing happily on its chewy texture!!
What about the choco bomb baguette?
The Otters choco baguette isn't chocolate only on the outside; it's packed with chocolate all the way inside. It goes perfectly with an Americano.
Is there a good seat for going with kids?
The second floor of Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch has floor-seating tables. I went up to the second floor midway and found floor-seating tables there! I think this spot would be good for people coming with kids.

By the way, they also sell a bakery closing-time discount basket for ₩16,000. That's probably why local residents seem to come often!
Would I go back to Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch?
If I need gift doughnuts in Gumi, I'd come back to Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch. I came just to box up a gift, but I think it tastes better than most doughnut shops in Seoul..! I ate them thinking, a place like this in Gumi..? haha
Locals seem to come often, and many people seemed to buy snacks here for a picnic before heading to the nearby park. The store is big but the air conditioning works well, so you can stay inside nice and cool! Next time I need a gift in Gumi, I'll buy a mix of doughnut flavors at Otters again.
