What kind of café is Otter Rabbit House?

Otter Rabbit House is a brunch café near Wolgwang Waterside Park in Dalseo-gu, Daegu, where you can enjoy everything from pasta to coffee and desserts. This was my second visit. I liked the atmosphere so much the first time that I came back.

The exterior is so striking: a brick building with big arched windows and a dark wooden door, like something on a European side street. The weather was clear that day and sunlight came through the trees, which made the building look even prettier. Let me introduce Otter Rabbit House bit by bit.

The interior is really pretty. With wooden tables, vintage chairs and arched windows, it feels like a small European restaurant. Green trees are visible outside the windows, which makes the space even more charming. Personally, I just love this kind of atmosphere at Otter Rabbit House.

Can you bring a dog to Otter Rabbit House?

Dogs are welcome at Otter Rabbit House, but they can't go inside; only the outdoor seats are available. I came with my dog this time, so we headed to the terrace.

Next to the counter, a variety of breads are on display. From egg tarts to apple pie and croissants, there's quite a range of pies and pastries.

It's a brunch café where you can have a meal, coffee and dessert all in one place. This time I ordered the bulgogi shrimp salad pasta and the egg basil French toast.

The terrace at Otter Rabbit House was wonderful too. Having brunch in such a green space felt so much more relaxed. The weather was great that day, with a cool breeze blowing gently, perfect for sitting outside.

The egg basil French toast at Otter Rabbit House is thick-cut French toast generously topped with egg and basil. Soft egg and nutty cream cheese come together with fragrant basil.

The basil flavor is fairly strong, so I think basil lovers will enjoy it. Eating it with the side salad makes it feel a little fresher.

What is the bulgogi shrimp salad pasta like?

As the name says, the bulgogi shrimp salad pasta at Otter Rabbit House comes with both bulgogi (marinated beef) and shrimp. The plate is piled high with vegetables, and the pasta noodles are hiding underneath.

With sweet bulgogi, plump shrimp and crunchy vegetables, there's a nice variety of flavors and textures. The sauce is on the tangy side, so it's lighter and fresher than a typical cream pasta. I love twirling the noodles together with bulgogi and vegetables.

Final thoughts on my return visit to Otter Rabbit House

My second visit to Otter Rabbit House. This time I enjoyed brunch outdoors with my dog. Both the bulgogi shrimp salad pasta and the egg basil French toast were generous and delicious. Adding a cold iced americano to a tasty brunch was just perfect.

Above all, the atmosphere like a little European café is the charm of this place. I'd love to come back next time I want a relaxed brunch. 🥰
