Around 11am on a weekday, you can eat at Eggroom in a relaxed way, but after 12 it fills up fast with office workers from nearby. Whenever I'm in Dongpyeon-maeul in Anyang, Eggroom is a place I stop by at least once.

Honestly, this isn't my first time, I've been here many times already. It's famous for its pavlova, and you often see people sticking candles in it to celebrate birthdays, so I come by now and then too. This time I visited around 11am on a weekday and could eat in peace. But once it passed 12, office workers from nearby poured in and the place was full in no time. If you want to enjoy it at a leisurely pace, I recommend going a little early~

Eggroom's atmosphere and little extras

Eggroom has full-length windows, so it's bright, and the white and yellow interior makes photos come out pretty. There are tasteful little props here and there, so it's a nice place to take pictures while having brunch.

I also loved the thoughtful touch of blankets for people who find the air conditioning cold! Pickles are set out in one corner and you can help yourself, which I liked too. They go well with richer dishes and were just right to have in between bites.

Eggroom's dessert case is filled with homemade sweets: the popular egg tarts, a variety of cookies, and pavlova. It's fun just to look at, and I thought that next time I could come just for dessert.

Eggroom is known not only for brunch but for its homemade desserts, and the flavors aren't the ordinary kind you can get anywhere, they have real personality, so every visit is fun for trying something new. I've already had the pavlova several times, and I get why it's the signature item!

What I ordered at Eggroom this time was an iced americano, an almond cream latte, eggs Benedict and scallop oil pasta.

Eggroom's americano isn't very acidic and has a nutty style, so anyone can drink it comfortably, and the almond cream latte, my personal favorite, is a menu item I really want to recommend. The smooth, rich cream and nutty coffee go together well, and I enjoyed it down to the last sip. The coffee is satisfying too, so if you're looking for a brunch café, I hope you'll try it at least once.

How were Eggroom's eggs Benedict and scallop oil pasta?

Eggroom's eggs Benedict had fresh ingredients, soft poached eggs and springy shrimp in harmony, and it came with plenty of mushrooms, so it was filling. But what impressed me most was the scallop oil pasta.

The scallop oil pasta isn't bland like a typical oil pasta; it has a slightly spicy kick that kept me reaching for more, and with plenty of crunchy garlic flakes on top adding savory depth, my friend who came along said it was delicious again and again.

Eggroom sells birthday candles in one corner of the café, so you don't need to bring your own for a birthday get-together. On the day we visited, I actually saw people sticking candles in an eggs Benedict to celebrate a birthday, and the mood was really lovely.

You can have brunch, hold a birthday party, and enjoy tasty desserts and coffee all in one place, which makes it feel extra special!!

There aren't many parking spots in front of Eggroom, so it's not easy to use; the most convenient option is a nearby public car park, so keep that in mind~~

I'd confidently recommend it to anyone looking for brunch in Dongpyeon-maeul, Anyang, or a café with a nice atmosphere in Dongpyeon-maeul or Gwanyang-dong. You can have a meal, coffee and dessert all in one place, so it's highly satisfying for dates, get-togethers with friends, or visits with family! The atmosphere is lovely too, so it's a really good café for staying a while and chatting.👍
