Ulsan shabu buffet with Mom, mala xiang guo and waffles: Shabre Garden

Today I went to Shabre Garden Ulsan Nam-gu Branch (샤브르정원 울산남구점) with my mom for shabu-shabu, and we ate so well, with sushi, unlimited draft beer and loads of different dishes, that I had to share it 🤤😊

Shabre Garden Ulsan Nam-gu Branch: location, hours and parking

Shabre Garden Ulsan Nam-gu Branch is at 14 Suam-ro 128beon-gil, Building 4, 2nd floor, Nam-gu, Ulsan, and it's open daily 11:00–21:00. Break time is 15:00–17:00, last order is at 20:00, and parking is available.

It's in Yaeum-dong, Nam-gu, Ulsan, near Suam Market. It's on the 2nd floor of the building, so keep that in mind when you visit! With parking available, it's a decent choice for a family meal out too.

Inside, the place is huge, so you don't need to worry about finding a seat haha

Is there really unlimited draft beer at Shabre Garden?

Walking around the food area, the first thing I noticed was the draft beer! Unlimited draft beer with shabu-shabu... so good haha

Cold draft beer with your meal is great news for anyone who likes a drink, right? 🍻 And if you're driving, you know drunk driving is an absolute no! Please take public transport or another way home 😊

The sushi corner and salmon sushi

Shabre Garden isn't just for shabu-shabu. There's everything from sushi to salad, hot dishes and desserts, so it was fun just to look around! At a buffet, it's not just me who can't decide what to eat first, right? haha The variety made it easy to try a little of everything. Seeing the sushi corner especially got me even more excited 🤭

The sushi selection was more varied than I expected. What caught my eye was the salmon sushi! Can you see that salmon color? Isn't it gorgeous... 💗 It looked so appetizing that I figured I'd grab a few and enjoy them with other dishes. I came for shabu-shabu and can eat all the sushi I want too, a two-for-one!

What hot dishes does the Shabre Garden buffet have?

The dish corner at Shabre Garden Ulsan Nam-gu Branch had mala xiang guo (spicy Sichuan stir-fry), mushroom cream dishes, grilled seasoned pork cubes, soy-marinated pork bulgogi, steamed smoked duck, kimchi fried rice and more. There were Korean, Chinese and Western-style dishes. Even before the shabu-shabu I was agonizing over how much I wanted to eat lol. I think the biggest perk of a buffet is enjoying lots of different dishes at once. Even with family, everyone can pick what they like.

Shabu-shabu vegetable and meat zones and the sauce corner

Shabre Garden Ulsan Nam-gu Branch has separate vegetable and meat zones for shabu-shabu, so you can pick as much as you like. There was a nice variety of the vegetables you can't do shabu-shabu without.

The vegetables looked fresh and came in many kinds, so you could choose to your taste. Meat was there too, so you can load up on both haha. The charm of shabu-shabu is cooking your favorite vegetables and meat in hot broth, right? The buffet menu is varied, but shabu-shabu is still the most fun when you cook it yourself!

Shabu-shabu without sauce would be a letdown! You can make your own sauces here. The same shabu-shabu tastes different depending on the sauce, so mix to your taste. If you like dunking in lots of sauce like me, definitely check out this corner haha

Desserts and drinks: choco fondue, bingsu and ice cream

The dessert corner at Shabre Garden Ulsan Nam-gu Branch has bread, cake, fruit and pudding, plus chocolate fondue, bingsu (shaved ice dessert), ice cream and a waffle machine. So many desserts, right?? I think kids would love it too!

Drinks include not just soda but fruit juice too~

There was even chocolate fondue 🍫 Fruit or desserts dipped in sweet chocolate would be delicious, right? With this much to eat, I think you could have a great time with kids too.

You can make your own bingsu too! A cup of tea after the meal would be lovely as well.

There's ice cream too, so ice cream on top of coffee would be the perfect combo~

A full table with Mom at Shabre Garden

At Shabre Garden Ulsan Nam-gu Branch I picked whatever I wanted, from sushi to all kinds of dishes, and piled up a full table. So generous, right? haha

I loved being able to enjoy lots of dishes, not just shabu-shabu. I rolled my own Vietnamese rice paper rolls and happily ate shrimp too 🦐 Bringing back one dish after another, the table filled up before I knew it. Mom and I shared a bit of everything and had a lovely meal. There was so much variety that it was hard to try it all in one go lol

There's a waffle machine too, so I made one! And ice cream as the final dessert!!
