Seongseo, Daegu Korean restaurant with takeout gondre rice: Hyangtaek
Hyangtaek Seongseo Keimyung University Branch is a tidy rice-bowl Korean restaurant in Dalseo, Daegu, near Keimyung University. On a weekday lunch with her mother, who had been in poor health, the writer ordered mackerel gondre rice (14,000 won), eggplant doenjang rice bowl (13,000 won) and the opening-event galbi platter, then had another mackerel gondre rice packed to take home. The mackerel gondre rice, still fragrant with gondre (Korean wild aster), was the dish most worth ordering at Hyangtaek.
