Yongsan mall ramen set with zero cola and crispy gyoza: Menya Seoul

Yongsan I'Park Mall is great for a day out since you can shop and eat in the same place ✨ I went out to Yongsan and stopped by Menya Seoul, a Yongsan I'Park Mall favorite, for a solo meal!

This place is known for its signature dongpo pork chashu ramen — broth built from 25 ingredients, topped with ajitama (soft-boiled egg) marinated in a special sauce for 48 hours, and tender dongpo pork made from whole pork belly. It's famous ramen you can enjoy either lightly on its own or as a hearty set meal. That's Menya Seoul for you.

Menya Seoul Yongsan I'Park Mall Branch sits near the central escalator on the 7th floor of Yongsan I'Park Mall, so it's easy to find! Menya Seoul also has a flagship branch in Yongsan, but the I'Park Mall branch is easier to access and a convenient stop.

Bar seats made for eating ramen alone

There's bar-style seating along the wall, which makes for a good solo ramen vibe. There are also plenty of 4-person tables nearby, so it's good for a meal whether you're solo or out shopping with others at Yongsan I'Park Mall.

Menya Seoul menu: choosing your topping and broth

For ramen toppings, you choose between dongpo pork or jambon, and the broth comes in three types: mild, spicy, or mala. The mala broth comes with cilantro, so if you don't like it, just tell them when ordering and they'll leave it out. There are set, single, double set, and double single options — the double versions come with double the topping (dongpo pork or jambon). It's easiest to decide your order beforehand and just order by number.

There were also food models below the menu board, which was handy for deciding before ordering.

You get a buzzer after ordering, and once the food's ready, you just grab it from the pickup zone. The food actually comes out pretty fast too!

Great for solo dining, so it'd also work well as a quick stop before catching a train at Yongsan Station.

There were two sauces on the table — lemon seaweed vinegar and rayu chili oil! Lemon seaweed vinegar goes with mazesoba and cold ramen, while rayu goes with mazesoba, spicy, and mala ramen.

How does Set 3, the spicy dongpo pork chashu ramen, taste?

I tried Menya Seoul's signature spicy dongpo pork chashu ramen as a set 🥰 I ordered Set 3, choosing crispy gyoza and zero cola as my sides. The set comes with ramen, fried dumplings, and a drink together, so it's a filling meal on its own.

True to its name, the spicy dongpo pork chashu ramen has a red broth topped with dongpo pork and chashu, so it looks delicious right off the bat!

The tender dongpo pork, noodles, and spicy broth went really well together! It wasn't a harsh spicy — more of a mellow, warming spiciness.

The crispy gyoza that comes with the set

The fried dumplings came out nice and crispy! Crunchy outside, juicy inside. Fried dumplings really are a must with ramen 🥟

With generous toppings like egg, bean sprouts, seaweed, and green onion, plus the side, it made for a really satisfying solo meal at Menya Seoul.

After finishing, you return your dishes yourself.

There was also a corner in the restaurant with commemorative photos and autographs from Coca-Cola's CEO and executives during a visit!

Sweet happy hour, 2pm to 6pm

Between 2pm and 6pm is sweet happy hour time, so ordering a set gets you 2pc of free red bean spring rolls — dessert after your meal, basically.

They also had new menu items like king prawn cold ramen and whole pork belly mazesoba, which I'll have to try next time~! Menya Seoul Yongsan I'Park Mall Branch is a great, filling meal spot before or after shopping or catching a movie at Yongsan I'Park Mall.
