Exterior and entrance of Mirim Yangjang Daegu
The building is an old-fashioned red brick one with a brightly glowing Mirim Yangjang sign, so you can spot it from far away.

The first photo shows the entrance. Wrapped in warm lighting, it has a cute duck illustration and a menu signboard, fitting for a Peking duck specialist.

There are food photos outside, so you can decide what to eat before you even go in.
Interior mood and open kitchen
The side of the restaurant is a wall of glass windows, displaying retro yet exotic props and clothing. It has a distinct vibe that blends with the night view of the Gyodong streets.

This is the stylish glass window side of the shop. Even from outside you can sense the hip, refined space inside, which I found impressive.

This is the open kitchen on one side. You can see authentic Peking duck roasted golden and hanging on hooks. The clean kitchen and neatly stacked plates build trust and show real expertise in the cooking.

What comes with the Peking duck?

This is the basic spread served with the Peking duck. Generous piles of fresh shredded cucumber and scallion, plus a sweet-salty house sauce.

Nutty peanuts and fresh onion pickles round out the set.
Clam soup with butter as the kicker

The clam soup is a cool, spicy broth packed with plentiful seafood.
The broth is richly infused with generous clams and vegetables, so it's a superb drinking snack. The deep, clean flavor is excellent and very satisfying. The butter in it is the kicker.
Peking duck and yabing at Mirim Yangjang Daegu

This is the plating of the signature Peking duck. Crispy outside and moist inside, the duck comes beautifully arranged with lovely texture. The glossy skin and mild lean meat go together well.

These are the yabing (thin wheat pancakes) served in a steamer. Thin and chewy, they're stacked up neatly and perfect for wrapping duck and vegetables.

Here's a yabing wrapped with Peking duck, cucumber, scallion and the special sauce, picked up in one hand. The crispy skin, crunchy vegetables and chewy pancake come together in your mouth for the best bite.
