Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch is a large brunch café occupying floors 2 to 4 of a building at 5-6 Hyodong-ro 6-gil, Dong-gu, Daegu. It's open daily 10:00–23:00, year-round, with a dedicated parking lot and nearby roadside parking available.

How's everyone doing?! I've been exhausted from my schedule lately, so I went to a café in Dongchon for some solo healing time! This time I visited Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch!

The exterior gives off fortress-wall vibes! Like an old red-brick castle wall you'd see somewhere in Europe!

The 1st floor of the building is Byeokcheon Sutbul Galbi (a charcoal grill restaurant), and the Hands Coffee entrance is on the 2nd floor! I went up the stairs on the left, but if you turn right at the entrance there's also an elevator!

Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch has spacious seating across floors 2 to 4, and there's even a rooftop on the 4th floor! Order on the 2nd floor!

Unlike other branches, this Dongchon Resort location also sells brunch sets.

The 2nd-floor interior and atmosphere at Hands Coffee

The 2nd floor of Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch is the order counter and entrance area. The first thing you notice walking in is the dark wood-tone furniture and soft lighting — a European antique vibe!

Terrariums and vintage decor are displayed alongside coffee equipment and beans, so it was fun to just browse around,

and with the huge windows letting in an open view, along with vintage leather sofas, wood-tone tables, and green plants scattered here and there, the mood felt classic yet comfortable!

What I ordered dining solo, and what it cost

Let me order first, then check out the 3rd and 4th floors! I got:

The 4th floor of Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch has both indoor seating and an outdoor rooftop. Let's take the elevator up and check out the 4th floor first, then work our way down!

The 4th floor's atmosphere is no joke either! There's a cozy nook with plush sofas, a long table great for groups, and floor seating by the window!

The 4th floor also has an outdoor rooftop,

and if the weather had been just a bit nicer, the view would've been gorgeous — a bit of a shame there. But now that it's definitely cooling down, enjoying coffee on the open rooftop seems like a great idea! I actually thought hard about sitting here, but since I'd ordered brunch, I figured indoors would be better than outside. (Worried about dust or bugs getting on the food, haha!)

Taking a floor-to-ceiling window seat on the 3rd floor

The 3rd floor of Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch has a long bar table running along the floor-to-ceiling windows, plus two-seater tables facing the window. Let's head to the 3rd floor this time!

The 3rd floor also centers on dark wood tones, with a calm, upscale vibe.

There's a mix of plush sofa seats and two-person tables, and the space is divided into sections, giving it a fairly cozy feel!

What stood out most was the long bar table running along the window and the two-seater tables arranged to face outside — looking out at the green scenery through the window seemed like a great way to relax and unwind! I settled in on the 3rd floor!

When your order is ready, they announce it over the speaker, and you just go down to the 2nd floor to pick it up!

Jambon-beurre and chicken granola salad on a two-tier tray

If you order two or more brunch items at Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch, they're plated on a two-tier tray like an afternoon tea set. Since I planned to stay a while, I ordered a warm milk tea!

The menu came out plated on the two-tier tray just like afternoon tea, and the look of it alone made me so happy! I thought you only got this if you ordered the brunch set menu, but apparently ordering two or more brunch items gets you this presentation too!

The soft jambon-beurre, where unsalted butter and jambon (ham) come together between ciabatta bread!

The chicken granola salad, a fresh salad with leafy greens, a hint of tangy yuzu, chicken breast, and sesame sauce!

The plating was so pretty too,

and it matched the interior so well that the photos turned out great.

The salad was more filling than expected, and the chicken breast was moist and delicious — I really enjoyed it!

My first time trying a jambon-beurre sandwich!! At first I thought the butter might make it too rich, but the more I ate, the more delicious it got, and before I knew it I'd finished the whole thing, haha!! The milk tea wasn't too sweet and had a nice fragrance, perfect for soaking up the café atmosphere.
