What kind of place is Eoeum-ri Photo Studio?

Eoeum-ri Photo Studio is a small photo studio at 14 Eoeum 10-gil, Studio-dong, Aewol-eup, Jeju-si. It sits inside a village called Eoeum-ri, tucked further into Aewol.

The space keeps its home-style interior intact for photos, so the shots end up full of Jeju atmosphere.

Where do you park at Eoeum-ri Photo Studio?

Before entering the studio, there's a free parking area near the village entrance, like a public lot. We parked there too and walked in.

What are the prices and courses at Eoeum-ri Photo Studio?

All of Eoeum-ri's courses are priced for two people, and adding a pet or an infant costs an extra ₩10,000! You just pick one of six courses.

Since we were in Jeju anyway, shooting with two backgrounds seemed nice, so we chose the 02 course! We booked through Naver and the reservation was confirmed after transferring the deposit.

Can you take self-photos in the waiting area after the shoot?

After the shoot, Eoeum-ri Photo Studio has a waiting space stocked with various props so you can take as many photos as you like.

The owner connected a Bluetooth remote for us and explained how to shoot, so while he went off to edit our photos, we weren't bored at all — we just kept snapping.

There were a lot of Jeep photos at Eoeum-ri Photo Studio! Apparently it's the owner's actual car, and the color is so pretty — he's clearly using it as a great photo prop. Very sharp idea!

For family photos at Eoeum-ri, how should you coordinate outfit colors?

Inside the studio there's colorful painted walls, which are perfect for photos with a pop of accent color!

We were planning to shoot in four colors total — black, white, olive, and red. But since the studio already had extra accent colors built in, sticking to just two outfit colors would probably have looked better!

What was disappointing about photos booked the night before?

Since we booked in a rush the evening before, we're satisfied with the keepsake photos overall! But personally, what I found lacking was that the owner didn't give detailed pose coaching while shooting. He'd only adjust things like hair covering a face.

The kind of detailed pose coaching I wanted was more like, 'Dad, bring your face closer, Mom, pull your face back a bit, and the two of you lean in slightly.' After getting the photos back, I honestly felt a little disappointed that this kind of coaching wasn't there.

Still, I was really grateful that the owner made an effort to get our baby looking at the camera during the shoot.

Free photos around Eoeum-ri village

After the shoot was done, on the way back there were plenty of photogenic spots around the village entrance, so we could freely take more photos. Since it's a real village, there's so much genuinely Jeju about it that the photos came out natural rather than staged.
