Cafe Giwa is a hanok café in a 100-year-old traditional house on Chodangwon-gil, near Gyeongpodae in Gangneung. Visitors enter from the parking lot side to see the hanok exterior, then walk through the back space facing a bamboo grove and an interior that still keeps its exposed rafters and retro objects; the drinks ordered were the Giwa black latte and the mung bean flower latte. The signature drinks were not quite as good as expected, but the private parking lot and the calm, quiet mood at Cafe Giwa stay with you.

Gangneung hanjeongsik with a 40-person group room: Saimdang Bueok

Saimdang Bueok is a hanjeongsik (Korean set meal) restaurant on Jukheon-gil near Ojukheon in Gangneung, sharing one building with a neighboring restaurant and holding a group room that seats about 40 at the back.
