GRAY LAZY in Namak, a signless second-floor late-night café
GRAY LAZY is a café in Namak, Samhyang-eup, Muan, South Jeolla. If you ask a local in Mokpo or Namak for a good-vibe café, GRAY LAZY is the one name that always comes up — that's how well known it is for being both pretty and full of atmosphere.
It has no signboard, but every single time I've gone, the place has been packed.

How to order at GRAY LAZY: grab a menu, then find a seat
Go up to the second floor and there's a door right there. As soon as you walk in, there's a menu sitting on top of a chair. You just take that menu with you to your seat!

Right next to it is a guestbook where lots of people have left writing or drawings, and there was also a spot selling GRAY LAZY's own goods.

On one side you could also watch coffee being brewed, and check out the various desserts on the menu! There were churros you could buy as gifts, and they also sell coffee concentrate.

Leafy window views, a big center bar table, and traces left in memo notes
Here's the view when you first walk into GRAY LAZY — if you sit by the window, especially in summer, you get a view full of green leaves, so it's a great café to stay in for a long time.

There's a big table in the middle set up bar-table style, and using the pencil and memo notes left at every seat, a huge pile of traces from all kinds of people had gathered in the center. Haha.

On one side of the menu you brought is an order slip. You write your order with the pencil at your seat and hand it to the counter, and they bring your ordered drinks and desserts to your table.

News: a Mokpo Peace Square branch is coming
Oh, and I forgot to take a photo of this, but apparently they're opening a branch at Mokpo Peace Square sometime in September! Since this is my favorite café in Mokpo, I'd been thinking, wouldn't it be nice if there was one in Mokpo too, not just Namak... and now it's already happening — so excited! 🥺

Candied chestnut cake, gray latte, and warm americano
The drinks and desserts I ordered at GRAY LAZY were plated prettily and brought right to my seat. The candied chestnut cake is genuinely delicious here... GRAY LAZY in Namak is probably most famous for its churros, but the cake is my favorite!

And I ordered the gray latte, which is a black sesame latte, along with a warm americano — honestly, the warm americano at GRAY LAZY in Namak is the best. It was so good, ㅠㅠ.

Everything is plated so perfectly for photos that I'm always busy taking pictures whenever I come here... hehe.

To sum up
A café with both great atmosphere and great taste! And since it's a late-night café, you can drop by anytime and stay for hours — GRAY LAZY in Namak is my top pick, so recommended 🚩😘👍
