Cheonan café: low-acid decaf & new coco mango madeleine, Brewers

Does everyone love baked sweets (gui-mgwaja)? I absolutely, totally do, and I found the baked-goods place of my life in Sinbu-dong, Cheonan, so I want to introduce it! It's famous around Cheonan for how good it is, so anyone even a little into baked sweets has probably heard of it :) It's Brewers Coffee, near Shinsegae Department Store in Sinbu-dong!!

Where is Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch, and what are the hours and parking?

Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch (브루어스커피 천안신부점) is at 20 Meokgeori 9-gil, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan, about 500 m (a 3-minute walk) from Cheonan Shinsegae Department Store, right next to Sinbu Public Parking Lot No. 4. It's open daily 12:00–21:00, with last order at 20:30.

Parking: there's no dedicated lot, but Sinbu Public Parking Lots No. 4 and 5 near the shop give you the first 30 minutes free. They can't hand out separate parking vouchers, so public transport is recommended~!

What are the atmosphere and seating like?

Brewers Coffee feels like you've wandered into a stylish Seoul café, and I love that vibe. The owner clearly cared about every bit of the interior, every chair and table, so I love every corner of the space and often come here when I need a mood refresh.

The seating is varied too: seats for 2, for 4, group tables and solo seats, plus you can sit out in the courtyard. With the breeze these days, having coffee in the courtyard in the afternoon or evening is a 10000% healing recharge. And I notice this every time: the staff at both the Sinbu-dong and Bulddang-dong branches are so kind that it puts me in a good mood whenever I visit ^-^

What kinds of baked goods does Brewers Coffee have?

Brewers Coffee has a really wide range of baked goods: financiers, madeleines, canelés, flans and more. Lots of distinctive items you rarely see at a regular café.

I love pistachio, so whenever I'm craving a pistachio canelé, I always head to Brewers Coffee!

Go at opening time for the widest choice

The baked goods here aren't brought out gradually through the afternoon. If you go right at opening, the shelves are almost completely full, which makes choosing fun. If you want to browse the full variety, I recommend going at opening time like I did. Even on weekdays, the seats are usually all full after 1 p.m.

Packing baked goods as gifts

The baked goods at Brewers Coffee look amazing, taste great, and can be packed to go!! I often pack some as gifts for people around me. The prices are reasonable and they taste so good that recipients love them~~ they ask where I bought them, so it ends up promoting Brewers Coffee, the real deal of Cheonan cafés, haha

What are the drinks and prices at Brewers Coffee?

The drinks range across signatures, coffee, iced tea, lattes, juice and tea, and most cost around ₩5,000–6,000.

Signature coffees: Brewers Coffee and 041 Coffee

• Brewers Coffee ₩6,500: the flagship coffee, with smooth almond cream on top of a sweet mocha base :)
• 041 Coffee ₩6,500: named after Cheonan's area code, 041! A strong shot sits on top of nutty walnut-flavored blended milk. It plays up local character, so I really recommend trying it

Brewers Coffee also has three kinds of beans, so you can choose your beans!

The baked goods at Brewers Coffee look amazing, and the café vibe is so good that photos taken from a distance come out even prettier!!!

How acidic is the decaf Americano at Brewers Coffee?

The decaf Americano at Brewers Coffee had just the right amount of acidity. Decaf I've had elsewhere was always way too acidic, but this one was actually tastier than the regular Americano! haha

How does the new coco mango madeleine taste?

The new coco mango madeleine (₩4,200) at Brewers Coffee is fresh and sweet, and why is it this good! The coconut flakes on the outside give it a great chew, too!

Freeze leftover financiers and madeleines

The other financiers and madeleines were so good too, but it was too much to eat alone, so I froze them solid when I got home. Pull them out when you need a sugar boost, and it's perfect!!

The Brewers Coffee staff packed my leftover baked goods so prettily, put my coffee in carefully, and even asked if I wanted ice and filled the cup to the brim. Taste, service and atmosphere are all great, so I absolutely recommend Brewers Coffee in Cheonan~!
