Today I'm introducing Ganghan Sushi in Buldang-dong, Cheonan! I was trying to decide what to have for lunch with a close acquaintance, and we ended up stopping by this sushi spot in Cheonan!! Let's head in ^^
Ganghan Sushi Cheonan Buldang Branch location and hours
Ganghan Sushi Cheonan Buldang Branch (강한초밥 천안불당점) is at 67-12 Buldang 21-ro, Seobuk-gu, Cheonan, Chungnam. Looking at the entrance, it seems they've launched refreshing handmade cold soba (buckwheat noodles). Nothing beats soba in summer, haha.
Ganghan Sushi is open from 11:00 to 22:00, with last order at 21:30. There's no break time, which I love ^^ It's closed every Monday.

Seating and atmosphere at Ganghan Sushi
I visited at lunchtime and there were customers inside, so I took my photos from the spots where nobody was sitting.
The restaurant is clean and has about 6 tables in total. There are tables for two and for four ^^ I hear a lot of people come to eat alone, and next time I'm going to try solo sushi too, haha.
You order with a kiosk! To me, this lineup at this price with this quality feels like a real bargain!! It was seriously delicious.
The tables are stocked with sushi soy sauce, rakkyo (pickled shallots), and even candy for dessert. Oh, nice touch~~~
How are the udon, seafood croquette and miso soup?
The soup, the seafood croquette, the udon... wow, it's all delicious here.. crazy... The seafood croquette especially is crispy outside and moist inside, totally yummy, and the udon broth is rich, which was exactly my taste, haha.
Eat the croquette together with the salad underneath it and it's crunchy, moist and crispy all at once, so good!!
This is the quality you get with the ₩14,000 Ganghan Sushi set.. amazing, right???
What's in the ₩14,000 Ganghan Sushi set?
The basic Ganghan Sushi set includes flounder, salmon, tuna, cuttlefish, shrimp, egg and inari (fried tofu pouch) sushi.
Wow, especially the flounder sushi topped with aged kimchi was seriously good, T_T. With such a wide variety, you get to taste lots of different flavors at once, which is the big advantage of a set.
Salmon sushi
The salmon sushi is very tender too, with crunchy onion and sauce adding a rich flavor!! The sauce cuts the greasiness and adds depth~
Tuna sushi
The tuna sushi, with its vivid red color, is chewy and nutty and just excellent!!!!
Inari and egg sushi
The inari sushi and egg sushi are tasty too. They're what kids love ^^
Sushi with just the right amount of rice
I really liked the rice portion at Ganghan Sushi in Buldang-dong~~ When there's too much rice the taste suffers, but here the amount is just right, and it's really, really delicious!!
Two kinds of shrimp sushi
There are two kinds of shrimp sushi!
The shrimp's sweetness plus a topping of gamtae (seaweed) upgraded the flavor to something classy!!!
Which sushi in the set was best?
My favorites at Ganghan Sushi were the flounder and salmon sushi!! Of course the others were all tasty too, haha.
The fish slices were a good thickness and very fresh, so there was really no fishy taste! The texture was great too. Even the side dishes were substantial, so I finished lunch completely full, haha.
Is Ganghan Sushi good for a family meal with kids?
Ganghan Sushi Cheonan Buldang Branch had a high chair too!!
Fresh ingredients, a neat lineup and a clean atmosphere made me happy with Ganghan Sushi in Buldang-dong, a great sushi spot in Cheonan. If you're looking for a lunch, family meal or date spot, do stop by. I really recommend it to anyone looking for sushi in Buldang-dong, Cheonan~~ haha
