Yangcheon Hyanggyo lash lift for curler-free mornings: Mio Brow Bar

These days doing my eyelash curler every morning felt like such a chore, and it was low-key stressful how the lashes I'd worked so hard to lift would droop right back down by the afternoon!! So I figured I'd look into something a little more low-maintenance, went searching for a Magok lash lift, and ended up at Mio Brow Bar near Yangcheon Hyanggyo Station :)

Where is Mio Brow Bar, and what are its hours?

Mio Brow Bar is at 1F 145-3, 344 Yangcheon-ro, Gangseo-gu, Seoul — easy to find if you come out of Exit 8 of Yangcheon Hyanggyo Station. I live nearby so I actually walked over from Exit 7! If you have trouble finding it, they explain it really clearly on Instagram, so that's worth checking haha.

The whole point of this visit was the lash lift! I normally go for a style that keeps my eyes looking naturally defined rather than an overly dramatic lift, so I wanted a curl that would actually suit my eye shape.

Hours are Mon–Sat 11:00–22:00, Sun 11:00–21:00. These might shift depending on the day, though!

So before the treatment, we talked through the look I wanted and thought through which style would actually work with my eyes.

Personally I prefer a style that looks natural but still makes the eyes look defined, rather than something overly dramatic and lifted. Being able to talk through this before we started made me feel a lot more at ease going in.

The interior was really a space where you could relax comfortably even on your own, and everything was so clean that I felt great throughout the treatment! And thanks to how relaxed and easygoing the owner was, I honestly lost track of time during the session haha.

How mornings changed after the lash lift

The lash lift was what I got at Mio Brow Bar! Out of everything on offer, this was the treatment I was most looking forward to this visit. The biggest perk of a lash lift is obviously not needing to use an eyelash curler every day~

Curling your lashes carefully every morning and then doing mascara on top actually eats up more time than you'd think ㅠㅠ But when your lashes already have a curl built in, makeup gets so much simpler!! The first thing I noticed after the treatment was that my whole eye area looked cleaner and more put-together. With the lashes naturally lifted, my eyes looked a bit more defined~~
