Cheonan café, 5-min Saturday wait & coco mango madeleine: Brewers
In short
Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch (브루어스커피 천안신부점) is a baked-goods café in the Sinbu-dong food alley in Cheonan, Chungnam. Around 2 p.m. on a Saturday, the writer and her boyfriend joined the Catchtable waitlist with 3 groups ahead, got in after just 5 minutes and ordered an iced Americano, a salted caramel milk tea, a pistachio canelé and a coco mango madeleine. Even on weekends, the line at Brewers Coffee moves faster than expected, so it is worth the wait.

Where do you park for Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch?
Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch (브루어스커피 천안신부점) is tucked into an alley in Sinbu-dong, so there's no parking of its own. There's a paid private lot right across the street, but I'd recommend the nearby Sinbu-dong public parking lot. We just left the car and walked to Sinbu-dong, haha.

It's been a while since I last came to this Sinbu-dong café in Cheonan, and it was still buzzing with people.

Seating at Brewers on a Saturday afternoon
When I visited around 2 p.m. on Saturday, the indoor space was full and the outdoor area still had a few seats open. There's an awning and cooling fans, so as long as you stay out of the sun, it's cool enough to sit outside. You can't really see it in the photo, but there was a seat in the shade at the very back, and I wavered on sitting outside. But I felt like feeling the air conditioning that day (haha), so I decided to wait!

How long is the weekend wait at Brewers?
For the wait at this Sinbu-dong café in Cheonan, you register on Catchtable at the entrance. There were 3 teams ahead of me and the estimated wait showed about 15 minutes. It's a café, so you'd think the line wouldn't move, but it clears faster than expected. Unless you'll die if you don't get into a café right this second . . ! the weekend wait at Brewers is doable 😋

I registered at 1:56 p.m. and got the alert to come in at 2:01 p.m., so I waited exactly 5 minutes.

There's iced tea you can drink while you wait at Brewers. There's also a gacha shop (capsule toy shop) right in front, so browsing there makes the time fly!

Inside Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch
Of course it was crowded inside too 🌀 This Sinbu-dong café in Cheonan has been popular for years, and every time I come I feel there's a reason for it.

I wanted to sit toward the back rather than the middle, and I got lucky and was assigned a seat at the back of the café, so I was thrilled. Here's a photo of the table taken while the seat next to us was empty. Brewers is great for its drinks and desserts, but the café's interior is also moody and pretty 🖼️

Brewers menu and prices
The drink menu and the dessert menu are in the 3 photos below, so please swipe through.

True to a baked-goods hotspot, there's a wide range of flan, financiers (small almond butter cakes), canelés (caramelized custard pastries) and madeleines, and every single one is really good..! So I agonize over the menu every time I come.
What I ordered this day
- Iced Americano ₩4,500
- Iced salted caramel milk tea ₩6,000
- Pistachio canelé ₩4,000
- Coco mango madeleine ₩4,200

How table service works
Every seat at Brewers has a numbered tag and the staff show you to your seat, so you just sit and wait and they serve it to you. And when you leave, you can just leave everything where it is, which is convenient and nice.

This wall gives me good vibes every time. I think this is the prettiest spot in Brewers. By the way, the restroom is inside the café, just head straight in to the right of what you see in the photo. It's unisex, but it's clean!

Salted caramel milk tea and iced Americano
Our drinks and desserts arrived. The cups with the Brewers logo are so cute every time I see them.

My boyfriend ordered the salted caramel milk tea, and it really had a slightly salty taste, a sweet-salty-sweet-salty feel that made it even more appealing and delicious.

I love that Brewers gives you a lot of coffee 🤎 An iced Americano at ₩4,500 is the average coffee price at independent cafés in Cheonan, but the cup size is on another level. There's plenty of it and the coffee is rich, so it's really good. Since it had been a while, I wondered about getting the signature Brewers coffee, but I was having dessert too, so I ended up with an iced Americano again! ☕️ Next time I'll definitely have a signature drink.

What do the pistachio canelé and coco mango madeleine taste like?
After a lot of thought, I chose the pistachio canelé and the coco mango madeleine for dessert. I picked the canelé first and wavered to the very end between the sweet corn flan and the madeleine, then went with the madeleine.

The coffee is great, but this Sinbu-dong café in Cheonan is really a baked-goods hotspot. The treats are so good that I've taken just the baked goods to go a few times.

The pistachio canelé is covered in pistachio on the outside! The moment I took a bite, a nutty pistachio flavor wrapped around my tongue, and it was just as delicious as I'd hoped. The canelé itself was chewy and, of course, delicious.

I didn't think much of the "coco" in coco mango madeleine, but coco = coconut. The coconut and mango flavors hit right away, and it's fresh and delicious, a charm that's the exact opposite of the canelé. Picking one nutty dessert and one fresh dessert made the whole thing feel richer, which I loved. It's a shame to eat just one, so at least 2 desserts is a must . . ˃̵ᴗ˂̵
It was a fun day, back in Sinbu-dong after a long time and at a café I love! And every time I come I notice again that the staff are really kind even when they're busy, which makes me leave in a better mood. Once again I'm reminded that when it comes to Sinbu-dong cafés, it's Brewers Coffee 👍🏻
