Suwon café for watermelon juice on a 37°C day: Café Meomureum

Today was a seriously sweltering 37°C day..🥵 Even a few minutes outside and the sweat was pouring down;;

My partner and I said, "Let's go get something cold today!" and went looking for a place to escape the heat. We ended up at Café Meomureum (카페 머무름)☕ We'd been once before and loved the atmosphere, so this time we came back😊 It was a great spot for cold drinks and a relaxed break! Let me introduce it now :)

What's the atmosphere like at Café Meomureum?

The first thing you notice inside is the warm wood-tone interior😊 It feels calm and cozy, like settling into a comfortable space. Green plants here and there plus soft lighting make it a place to take it easy, just like the café's name suggests🌱 The tables are nicely spaced, so it works for coming alone, for a date, or for a quiet chat.

Solo seats for sitting alone

On one side there are single seats for solo visitors😊 Each seat feels separate, so it looked good for reading quietly or working on a laptop. A great fit if you want to spend time alone or need a place to focus :)

Café Meomureum bakery and menu

Café Meomureum is known for its home-baked bread and handmade desserts😊 Maybe because we came a bit late, there wasn't much bread left on the shelves, sadly ㅠㅠ

The menu covers everything from coffee to all kinds of drinks and desserts, so you can pick to your taste😊 Besides basics like americano and latte, there were plenty of smoothies, ades and teas!

On my last visit I tried the misugaru (roasted multigrain drink), and it was nutty and rich, really delicious🤎 If you like misugaru, I'd definitely recommend trying it here, haha.

Two watermelon juices instead of mango bingsu

Honestly, I came today to eat mango bingsu (shaved ice)🥭 Sadly they told us it wasn't available that day, which was a bummer ㅠㅠ (I didn't ask why!)

Disappointed, we thought over other options and ordered two cold watermelon juices🍉

And the watermelon juice was better than expected! Some places add syrup or additives and end up with an artificial sweetness, but this one tasted clean and rich, like real watermelon blended up😊

My partner praised it too: "They really make good watermelon juice here!"~~

The pulp can sink to the bottom over time, so I'd recommend stirring well before drinking! Mixed evenly, you get the full, richer, sweeter watermelon flavor :)

Revisit summary

From the warm wood-tone coziness to the solo seats for quiet time, plus a range of bakery items and drinks, it's a comfortable café to take a break in! Sadly we missed the mango bingsu this time ㅠㅠ but the watermelon juice we ordered instead was better than expected and made us forget the heat for a while🍉 Cool, sweet and tasting like freshly blended watermelon with no artificial sweetness, it was the highlight!
