Windshield oil film remover for beginners: Auto Grooming Clean View

I’m not very familiar with car-care products, so even when an oil film built up, I did not really know how to deal with it. This time, I received Auto Grooming Clean View Car Oil Film Remover and tried it directly on a windshield.

What comes with the product?

The oil film remover came with a soft dedicated towel. I did not need to prepare a separate towel for applying the solution to the glass and rubbing it in.

What condition was the car in?

I used it on my fiancé’s car first. The car had never had its oil film removed since it was bought, so we decided to use it on the windshield and see what changed.

How did a beginner remove the oil film?

I sprayed the solution evenly over a windshield that was thoroughly wet. After rubbing broadly with the dedicated towel about five times, the rounded droplets from the oil film disappeared, and it felt as though the solution was clinging to the glass. Finally, I rinsed it thoroughly with clean water.

Since it was simply spray, rub, and rinse, it felt easy even for me as someone trying it for the first time.

How did the windshield look afterward?

After finishing, I photographed the windshield from inside the car. I wanted to show a before-and-after comparison, but the oil film before use did not show up well in photos. It was difficult to convey the difference fully in pictures, but when I looked at it in person, the windshield felt cleaner.

Even when I washed the car often, it did not feel quite fresh because of the oil film. This time, after cleaning the windshield, it felt like I had washed the car. The process was convenient, so I used it on my own car too; after removing the oil film, I sprayed on foam and washed it with water.
