Last weekend I was planning to go to the Apple Store in IFC Mall on Yeouido, so I looked around for a nice-atmosphere place nearby. But you know how it is — The Hyundai and IFC Mall are packed with families and couples haha.

This time I went to MOI, which has a clean, stylish vibe, and since I made a reservation for an early dinner, it wasn't nearly as crowded 😚 If you're looking for a date course or a good-atmosphere pasta restaurant in Yeouido, I hope this helps!

The interior of MOI is genuinely my personal style, so I immediately thought, glad I made a reservation... Art pieces placed here and there gave it a stylish, clean feel. With the wood tones and soft lighting, it seemed like a place best visited in the evening 🕯️

Brought my Kitty camera this day too, but I forgot to take photos while eating 😭

The table was already set, and the overall setting and menu, right down to the soft pink color, were exactly to my taste..

What we ordered at MOI and what it cost

  • Beef tartare (4pc) 20.0
  • Chamnamul vongole pasta 23.0
  • Korean beef striploin steak 48.0
  • White wine 13.0
  • Non-alcoholic sangria 10.0

The white wine the staff poured for us... the color was gorgeous. I still haven't developed a taste for red wine, so I drink white fairly often haha. I'd recommend it — light and refreshing!

The pour was honestly so generous haha — this might have the biggest wine glass of any place I've been to!!

Beef tartare, 4 pieces (20.0): how it pairs with white wine

First out was the beef tartare.

[ Fried gim bugak (crispy seasoned seaweed), Korean beef 1+, gungchae, anchovy aioli ]

A piece of Korean beef tartare on fried gim bugak

Salty, a bit like a bibimbap-style tartare. What was on top looked like bean sprout heads at first glance. Spicy and salty with a strangely addictive flavor that went really well with the white wine!! And the price wasn't as bad as I expected, so I was tempted to order more pieces..✨

Chamnamul vongole pasta (23.0): one of the best pastas I've had

Chamnamul vongole pasta 23.0 [ clams, chamnamul (wild chervil) pesto, yeolmu (young radish greens), spaghettini ]. This ranks among the best pastas I've had while going around eating out. Genuinely delicious ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The aroma isn't too strong, so it wouldn't be polarizing, and it blends the chamnamul and vongole together beautifully for a distinctive flavor.

The umami from the clams, the crunch of the yeolmu, the clams and the pasta — it's all harmoniously delicious!! I heard MOI specializes in pasta... you all really need to come here for the pasta 🥺

Korean beef striploin steak (48.0): how it was cooked and served

Korean beef striploin steak 48.0 [ Korean beef 1+, fried baby potatoes, kkwari peppers, onion purée, chamnamul chimichurri, black pepper sauce ]

Korean beef striploin steak with fried baby potatoes

The visual is insane..🫪 A sip of wine with the thickly cut steak, it was delicious eaten fresh and juicy with the chewy baby potatoes and sauce.

Looking back, this is a really well-shot, satisfying steak photo.. it was also great paired with the vegetables.
