When I think of pork BBQ in Wonju's Enterprise City, this is the first place that comes to mind! Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Wonju Enterprise City Branch. We decided it was time for a BBQ dinner out and headed straight over :D

Since the restaurant is big, there's a huge amount of seating. There are even private rooms, great for gatherings, work dinners, and things like that. It would also work well for a 60th or 70th birthday meal.

Meat delivered by robot — good color, no off smell

Our order arrived — the meat is brought over by a serving robot, and the kids absolutely love it :D There are scissors and tongs under the meat so you can take out as much as you need.

The meat is self-grilled at the table. Look at that color — so lovely! No off smell at all, and it really feels fresh. It comes out with minari (water celery), pineapple, and mushrooms too, so there's plenty of variety to enjoy!

The in-store kids' café — great reasons to bring the kids

While the meat was grilling, our little one dashed off to the kids' zone! This Wonju Enterprise City pork BBQ spot has an in-store kids' café, and compared to other places it's bigger, cleaner, and well maintained. Every time we come here, my kid ends up running into at least one friend from kindergarten, taekwondo, or math academy, so she always has a great time playing. And even without a familiar face, kids make friends fast, so she loves it regardless :D

While she played, we got to grill the meat properly. At other restaurants we usually end up putting on a video so as not to bother anyone, but here we don't need to — which is even better.

A dip in salt, then Suhyangmi rice

Nicely grilled meat dipped in salt first is pure heaven — we were so hungry and it was so good that I honestly forgot to call our little one over :D

It's just as good with pickled onions and lettuce wraps! This Wonju Enterprise City pork BBQ spot is also known for its rice — it's made with Suhyangmi rice, so it's wonderfully nutty and delicious. Every time we come here, my kid ends up eating a bowl and a half :D

It's also great dipped in the pa-chae jjolmyeon (green onion and chewy noodle salad) sauce or yangnyeom gejang (seasoned raw crab) seasoning that come as standard banchan. With such variety, you never get tired of the meat.

Finishing with self-serve ice cream

After eating our fill, we made sure to grab ice cream from the self-serve bar too~ It's a place where you can enjoy the full course — meal, kids' café, and dessert — which is why we come back so often. Another satisfying meal in the books :D
