MUG basics: location, hours and facilities

MUG (카페 먹) is a bakery café in Eonyang at 90 Hyangsandagae-ro, Sangbuk-myeon, Ulju-gun, Ulsan. It is open daily 10:00–20:00, with last order at 19:30 every day, and it welcomes groups, parking, takeout, high chairs and pets.

Why I went to MUG in Sangbuk, Ulsan on an October autumn day

October, with autumn sky and autumn breeze everywhere. In such lovely weather my puppy mode kicked in again! I can't go far, so I figured I'd at least go to a café with a great view, and chose MUG, the Sangbuk café in Ulsan with tasty bread, coffee and a wonderful view~

The sun was warm, the breeze was cool~ Under the blue sky, MUG, the bakery café in Eonyang, Ulsan, looked even better. And the gorgeous trees made me gasp even more~

I parked in the big lot with no worries, then went in through the main gate. Colorful flowers made the walk feel good~ Before heading into the café I admired the open view again~ And I never get tired of MUG's photo zone, no matter how many times I see it. The water rippling gently in the wind and the palm trees are the real healing point.

What did the Halloween decorations at the MUG entrance look like?

In October, MUG, the large café in Ulsan, was in full Halloween swing. The entrance always has exhibitions of paintings, ceramics and other works, and in October it was decorated for Halloween, a fun scene that made me feel like a kid again. It's a large Ulsan café that both adults and children can enjoy.

What breads are in MUG's bakery display?

As soon as you walk into MUG, you see the bakery display.

You'll see the best-selling signature cinnamon rolls of this Eonyang, Ulsan bakery café, plus salt bread, pastries, cakes and many other breads and desserts.

With the lights on, the bakery items look even more upscale and delicious.

Cinnamon roll flavors at MUG

The tiramisu cinnamon roll, excellent in its sweetness, and the blueberry cinnamon roll, packed with blueberries.

The lemon cinnamon roll, with a zesty kick, and the sweet apple cinnamon roll. Yep~ I'm a MUG regular, so I've tried even the seasonal ones~

Savory breads, ciabatta and croissants

Corn bread topped with a whole ear of corn, tasty gorgonzola ciabatta, and spicy pepperoni ciabatta.

Cute-shaped melon bread (melonpan), garlic bread and loads of other breads~~~ MUG is a popular café in Eonyang, so the bread runs out if you go in the afternoon. To try a wide variety, I recommend going early~

Chestnut Basque cheesecake and lamington

A sweet chestnut Basque cheesecake and the Australian dessert lamington (sponge cake coated in chocolate and coconut). MUG's lamington is ten million times tastier than the ones in Australia.

There's grapefruit water and lemon water too~ And there's a self-service packing counter, so you can easily box up leftover bread.

MUG seating: from prime indoor spots to outdoor and forest seats

MUG is a large café in Eonyang, Ulsan with plenty of seating: tables for 2, tables for 4 and large tables. This spot is great~! Even though I went early, the best seats were already full.

The popular seats are the tables for 2 with a front-row view of the scenery outside. There are seats like these too, so no worries about finding a place (no no).

The black outdoor seats look stylish too. In this weather, outdoor seats are the best!! It was cool and sunny, so the outdoor seats were hugely popular.

MUG has seats not just around the café but also up in the forest above, so you can enjoy a proper outdoor forest picnic ("forest-nic"). It's a huge Ulsan café, so you can take a walk, and lots of people were walking with their pets. It's the best Eonyang, Ulsan café for forest healing.

Back inside! A prime spot opened up and I sat down right away.

MUG Real Corn Bread and Basil Tomato: taste and price

To grab a light bite, I ordered the Real Corn Bread (₩6,800) and the Basil Tomato (₩7,000) at MUG. The basil tomato bread is really big.

I'd wanted to try the Real Corn Bread since last time. A steamed ear of corn sits on top whole, so it looks great, and the inside is packed with corn too! Oh~~ the crunchy pop of corn plus the sweetness of the bread's crust, good choice!! Great texture, great taste.

The basil tomato bread is sweet and salty too, a bread that's guaranteed tasty anywhere~ It's big, so I thought there'd be a lot left over, but it was so good I ate most of it,, haha

MUG americano

Coffee, well, no need to say more. MUG's americano is good. To go with the bread I ordered one hot and one iced americano, and the coffee was great!! It came in paper cups, maybe because it was a busy holiday.

What are the restrooms at MUG like?

The restrooms at MUG are really spacious and nice. The friend who came with me said, "This restroom is really nice," and it truly is big and nice~ All with filters installed~ I've been to this café a ton but never took restroom photos before, so I took some this time.

Spacious interior, open outdoors, a big parking lot, beautiful natural scenery, stylish interior design, and bakery items and coffee that are delicious any time you go. MUG is the Eonyang, Ulsan bakery café that everyone, young and old, and even pets can enjoy.
