Titan Hapjeong is an izakaya in Mapo, Seoul, serving aged sashimi and barbecue. A 55,000 won set for two came with thick-cut fish, seaweed, white kimchi, and complimentary vinegared rice. Verdict: Titan Hapjeong is a must-return spot for seriously chewy aged sashimi.
Okdengjang Seohyeon Branch is a Korean restaurant near Seohyeon Station in Bundang, Seongnam. I had beef pork-belly doenjang hot pot, squid minari pancake, and seaweed, with generous meat, crisp pancake, and kind service. Verdict: an easy place I want to revisit for a comfortable meal.
