Last weekend my girlfriend and I had a date in Eunpyeong. We were wondering what to have for dinner when we spotted a good-looking BBQ place near Eungam Station, so we gave it a try. Today's place is Yukjjip (육쯥) in Eunpyeong.

Yukjjip hours and location near Eungam Station

One-line review up front: clean, tasty and friendly, all perfect!
Yukjjip exterior: 1 minute from Eungam Station Exit 4

This is the outside of Yukjjip, a Korean pork BBQ spot in Eunpyeong. It uses two whole floors of the building, with a white sign reading Yukjjip. The restaurant is a 1-minute walk from Eungam Station Exit 4.
Is the Yukjjip dining room spacious and clean?

The tables are spaced widely apart, so it felt comfortable, and there's a second floor too, so it's very big. BBQ places can feel slippery and dirty when they don't clean well, but Yukjjip wasn't like that at all. It was super tidy.
You could feel they think about customer safety everywhere.

The grill uses patented technology.

The self-serve bar has a variety of side dishes, and if you run low, the staff bring more to you.
There's also a Naver receipt review event that gets you a 20cm handmade sausage, so definitely give it a go!

Date-night order for two: 600g platter, doenjang mari-bap and a highball
We chose the Yukjjip Platter (600g), doenjang mari-bap (soybean paste rice roll) and a highball.

We were hungry, so the two of us ordered the platter. The meat looked high quality at first glance.

It was a bit hot outside, so we got a highball to go with it.

The basic side dishes included pajeori (seasoned green onion salad) and white kimchi, which go well with meat.
Do the staff grill the meat for you at Yukjjip?
Yes, one of Yukjjip's strengths is that the staff grill the meat for you. Taste depends on how meat is grilled, so it was nice to eat good meat without any effort.

They started with the pork neck. The grill is great, and the staff grilled it really well, which I loved.
Meanwhile, the doenjang mari-bap we ordered as a side arrived. It tasted like the delicious flavor everyone already knows.

Juicy pork neck, gabeuri and grilled mushrooms at Yukjjip
We started with the nicely grilled pork neck. It was so juicy you understand why the place is called Yukjjip (a play on the word for meat juice), and really tender.

Next they grilled the gabeuri, and they also grilled the mushrooms and tore them along the grain for us. So good.

The side dishes are varied and all delicious, and they went well with the meat, so we kept reaching for them.

Enjoying the meat with all those sides and vegetables, before we knew it we had finished all that meat.
Is Yukjjip near Eungam Station good for a date? Final verdict
Yukjjip last weekend felt like a restaurant where everything was perfect for the first time in a while, and we had a really satisfying dinner. The meat was great, but I also loved how clean the place was and how kind the staff were.
If you're looking for a great pork BBQ place near Eungam Station, I'd recommend Yukjjip.
