This is the exterior of Geek Hair. I'd seen it a lot while passing by, and it looks modern and clean.

And this is the inside. I came at weekday lunchtime, and wow, so many people. It's been a while since I saw a place this busy at lunch. Just as you'd expect from a place known for men's hair. When you walk in, you check in yourself at a kiosk.

The ceiling has a modern industrial look, and the interior is in gray tones, which feels modern.

How was the consultation with designer Juyeong?

My hair at Geek Hair Wangsimni that day was done by designer Juyeong. She first looked at my style and we talked about what would suit me. Result first: I'm satisfied. It turned out just the way I wanted. She also kindly explained how to care for it afterwards, which made me happy.

Men's cut + down perm + bangs perm: before and after

Can you see my hair before the treatment? The front was long and split, and at the sides the down perm had worn off so the hair stuck out in spikes. The top is thick, so it felt heavy too.

During the heat treatment they brought me a drink like this. I had coffee, and it was as good as what you'd get at a café.

Back: tidied into a sangoh style

This is how it looked after the cut at Geek Hair Wangsimni. The back first. The messy, heavy-looking back was completely cleaned up, and it became a natural, neat sangoh style (a short, tidy cut with tapered sides and back).

Sides: soft two-block with down perm

The side view. The messy, spiky sides were finished naturally in a soft two-block style. On top of that I got a down perm, so the hair lies down nicely.

Front: an as-perm look from just a bangs perm

The front view. My hair was so long it had no direction, so she tidied it up neatly and then did the bangs perm. Even without a full perm, it has an as-perm (soft, natural-curl perm style) feel.

The front left side. After the bangs perm, natural curls appeared. It's the style I wanted.

I took a photo of the front on my way home. The before and after are really different, right? All the damaged parts at the front are gone.

With all the sticking-out ends cut off, my head even looks a bit smaller.
