Kid-friendly Daegu Chinese restaurant near Shinsegae: Gyeryonggak
Gyeryonggak is a Chinese restaurant with 30 years of history in Sincheon-dong, Dong-gu, Daegu, right across the street from Dongdaegu Station and Shinsegae Department Store. Visiting just after 6pm with two children and a fellow parent, we ordered cheolgabang jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles), a small deungsim tangsuyuk (sirloin sweet and sour pork) and lard ganjajang, and the open kitchen, self-serve bar and fast serving suited eating with kids. The spicy depth of the ganjajang fried in lard was the heart of Gyeryonggak.
