At Vivienne Hair, a hair salon in Sangnam-dong, Changwon, I had my damaged long hair cut by over 15cm into a mid-length style and got a layered perm. It's open 10:00–21:00, located at 23 Danjeong-ro, Seongsan-gu, Changwon, 2nd floor, and you can park in the underground car park.

After talking with the Vivienne Hair director, we decided to cut it off,, Over 15cm gone! I've never cut this much before.

When I posted it on my Instagram story, everyone was totally shocked. Hair that was so long is now mid-length.

My hair used to cover my chest and reach almost to my waist, and now it's properly mid-length. After all that rough texture, the snip feels refreshing. My fingers glide straight through without snagging, which I haven't felt in ages. Since I was getting a perm, we also added a lot of layers.

They checked again and again, and I felt so sorry about my damaged hair. For me it was about 4 rounds of applying and checking! They really put in the time.

Once I'd been sitting in the salon for over an hour, I was so bored. And with the hot machine running, I got sooo sleepy.

Coffee and snacks while you wait

Right when I was getting hungry, coffee and a snack came out. Vivienne Hair is a coffee hotspot, it's so nutty and rich, I was surprised. Drinks include coffee, juice and green tea.

Mid-length layered perm: rolling, neutralizing and shampoo

After the solution, a rinse and drying again, it's time for the perm rolls. A layered perm on mid-length hair? I can't even imagine how my hair will look, so curious.

Setting begins and now we unroll the rolls. Every time the rolls come out I go full Elizabethan collar and get startled. If the perm came out like this, it'd be quite a shock, right?! haha

Now off to neutralize and shampoo! Oh, the scalp massage during the shampoo felt so good, the hands were amazing. The best!

Wow, this hair length, what,,,, I think the layered perm curls came out so well. So pretty!

I met a friend right after leaving the salon and she said I look so fresh. And honestly, having the damaged hair cleaned up makes me look neat, which is a big deal.

Styling at home after the layered perm

After the mid-length layered perm, styling is done with just one curling cream. When I washed and styled my hair, wow, even drying takes so much less time.
