I wanted to eat all the eel I could, so I went hunting for an all-you-can-eat eel place in Gojan-dong and found Songnim Bok (송림복장어) Freshwater Eel All-You-Can-Eat Ansan City Hall Direct Store! I was fully ready to eat properly, so I showed up in my elastic-waist pants!

Songnim Bok Freshwater Eel All-You-Can-Eat Ansan City Hall Direct Store is open daily from 11:00 to 22:00, with last order at 21:00. For parking, use the underground parking lot in the building, and the all-you-can-eat time limit is 2 hours.

We've arrived at Songnim Bok!! 🤍 Apparently they bring in live freshwater eel every morning from fish farms and direct-sales markets and prep it themselves! I'm so excited to eat fresh eel!! 😆

It's great for a family meal, and I think it'd be perfect for a company dinner too!

As an all-you-can-eat place should, Songnim Bok has a separate self-bar corner!

Eel, of course, plus pork belly and duck neck, and you can take as much as you want to eat! 🤤 If you run low on side dishes, you can help yourself at the self-bar too!! 👍🏻

How do you grill eel at Songnim Bok?

Read the eel grilling instructions carefully~~ At first they bring you eel, duck neck and pork belly as the basic set! 👍🏻 Alright! Let's dig in!!

Grill the eel with the skin side facing down! While it cooks, I'll get the sauce ready!

I have an elementary-schooler's palate, but when it comes to eel I load up on ginger^^ Once the eel is golden brown, cut it up!

Then stand the pieces up and grill the cut sides until golden~~ Okay! Once it's cooked, shall we taste it?? 🫢

All-you-can-eat eel, but is it thin? Thickness and taste at Songnim Bok

First, I'll dip it in the sauce loaded with ginger and try it! Seriously... it's so clean-tasting and nutty, so good 🥹🥹

If you thought all-you-can-eat eel would be skinny, buzzer ❌🙅🏻‍♀️ that was totally a prejudice!! See the thickness?? 👀 I was surprised that plump eel came out!! I could barely tell the difference from the quality at a regular eel restaurant!! 🤤

Round 2... begin!! hahaha Grilling now hahaha Once it's done, shall we eat?? haha

White kimchi + eel + ginger. Crunchy white kimchi and clean-tasting eel are a truly perfect match!! Add ginger on top and it cuts the richness, so I just kept eating 🤤

It's eel buffet, but is the pork belly good too?

Let's grill some pork belly in between~~ (Honestly it's already round 2 for the pork belly too^^)

Put pork belly on lettuce, add garlic and ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste) and!! So good! Songnim Bok is an all-you-can-eat eel place, yet the pork belly is tasty and good quality too!! 👍🏻👍🏻

Verdict: would I go back to Songnim Bok Ansan City Hall?

If you want to eat eel until you're full, I recommend Songnim Bok Freshwater Eel All-You-Can-Eat Ansan City Hall Direct Store, an all-you-can-eat eel spot in Gojan-dong!! 🤤 I'd worried about quality because it's all-you-can-eat, but that was a prejudice!! The eel was plump and my satisfaction was really high! 👍🏻 The pork belly and duck neck were good too!! 🫢

It's also great to visit with family, so I recommend it as a Gojan-dong family dinner spot!!
