My husband and I often do a self-service car wash on our days off. This time, we were provided with the AutoGrooming Cube Wash Line 3-piece set, so we washed our car after a camping trip, with bugs and stains all over it.
How do the three Cube Wash Line products differ in purpose and dilution ratio?
The set includes an acidic pre-wash that also works as car shampoo, an alkaline pre-wash, and a mildly alkaline car shampoo. You can buy them separately, too. Here are the uses and recommended dilution ratios listed in the original product information.
- Red Dissolve Dual Wash: an acidic pre-wash and car shampoo. The listed ratios are 1:1000 for a bucket, 1:10–1:20 for a foam lance, and 1:100 for a pump sprayer. Its top notes are creamy peach, apple, and pineapple.

What dirt was on the car after camping?
After camping with the family, there were lots of bug remains stuck to the front bumper, side mirrors, and windshield. The bugs and stains were so noticeable that this time I followed the pre-wash with the main wash.
First, I rinsed the car once with water and got ready to use the products.
Was the bottle easy to hold and measure from?
The square cube-shaped bottle was easy to grip. It came with a separate measuring cup and narrow-spout cap, which made measuring convenient.
How did I use Indigo Core Pre-Wash?
I diluted Indigo Core Pre-Wash with water in a pump sprayer and sprayed it evenly over the entire car. I used it to loosen the dirt, then rinsed it off thoroughly before the product dried. Since it was simply diluted with water and sprayed on, it was not difficult to use. My husband and I divided the car into sections while washing it.
How was the bucket wash with Blue Edge Shampoo?
After finishing the pre-wash, I did the main wash with the mildly alkaline Blue Edge Shampoo. I diluted the shampoo in a bucket of water, made foam, and wiped the car with a wash mitt. It produced plenty of foam, and I liked how the wash mitt felt as though it glided over the painted surface.
What was satisfying after the car wash?
Compared with before the wash, the car looked much cleaner. What I especially liked in this use was the bottle that made measuring easy and the rich foam during the main wash. For us as a couple who wash the car by hand together, the process felt comfortable.
