Cleansing balm for winter combination skin: HEEDA Charcoal Balm

How did it feel on combination skin in winter?

I have combination skin that is easily sensitive to external conditions, with oiliness in my T-zone and dryness in my U-zone. In winter, my skin feels especially tight after cleansing, so I pay close attention to whether the finish feels moisturizing.

My skin felt moisturized after cleansing with this product, and I experienced almost no tightness. There was also little residue after rinsing, so it had a finish I could see myself reaching for in winter.

What are the texture and application process like?

The solid balm melted smoothly like an oil when it came into contact with body heat. I rolled an appropriate amount over my face, then added water to emulsify it; it quickly turned milky on contact with water.

The process of turning into an oil did not feel stuffy or heavy, and I could massage around my eyes and mouth with less discomfort. The scent did not feel strong either.

How did it cleanse makeup and the area around the nose?

It removed heavy eye makeup, including mascara and eyeliner. When I used it while massaging around my nose, I felt it could also be useful for managing sebum and blackheads.

Who might it suit?

It may be worth considering if you prefer a moisturized finish after cleansing and are concerned about tightness after washing your face in winter. Skin reactions vary by person, though, so those with sensitive skin should use it according to their own skin condition.
