Hydrating charcoal foam cleanser for combination skin: HEEDA Jirisan

A hydrating foam cleanser recommendation! Here's my review of HEEDA Jirisan Charcoal Hyaluronic Acid Mild Foam Cleanser :)

So I recently developed some skin troubles and decided to switch up my foam cleanser~ I've been so satisfied using it that I wanted to share the info with you..!! :) haha

Why sudden adult acne on combination skin made me switch cleansers

My skin is pretty combination-type, so the oiliness and dryness feel different depending on the area. But lately, for some reason, I started getting more and more breakouts on my face..ㅠㅠ

I always cleanse regularly, but I wondered if I'd been slacking on cleansing lately because I've been busy and tired. I figured I needed to find a foam cleanser that could more thoroughly wash away the sebum and impurities left on my skin.

Charcoal is used a lot for sebum care, right? So this time I decided to try HEEDA's foam cleanser, which contains Jirisan charcoal. Since it's a mild, pH-balanced foam cleanser, it seemed good for using without worry morning and night, haha.

The product is called 'HEEDA Jirisan Charcoal Hyaluronic Acid Mild Foam Cleanser.' It contains 5,000ppm Jirisan charcoal, along with patented aqua ceramide and 7 types of hyaluronic acid. It's made to cleanse sebum and impurities thoroughly while leaving skin feeling moisturized, not stiff or tight, after washing.~ :)

With combination skin, I worry about oil, but if a cleanser is too strong, my face can feel tight right after washing. So when picking a foam cleanser, I make sure to check the post-cleansing feel just as much as the cleansing power, haha.

What is the texture like? A deep gray, creamy charcoal formula

Before actually washing my face, I tested it on the back of my hand first.!! When first squeezed out, the HEEDA foam cleanser was a deep gray, almost black color. You could immediately tell from the texture that it's a charcoal product.

The texture was soft and creamy, and it didn't run too watery. It had just the right density while still being easy to spread smoothly on skin, so it was comfortable to use.

And the scent was really nice..!! It wasn't too strong or overwhelming, and it felt pleasant while cleansing. For a product you use every morning and night, things like scent and texture matter, and in that sense this was a foam cleanser I kept reaching for.

From black formula to rich white foam

I put some on the back of my hand and added water to work up a lather.! haha The foam cleanser, originally black, turned into soft white foam when it met water. I thought since it's a charcoal product the foam might be grayish too, so it was surprising that it made such fluffy white foam, haha.

The lather built up even better than I expected. Even a small amount created soft, abundant foam, which made it good for cleansing thoroughly, almost like massaging your whole face.

Since the foam moved smoothly between skin and hands, there was less worry about friction. I'd recommend this foam cleanser to anyone who prefers soft foam.

Does skin feel tight after washing? Clean rinse, moist finish

After gently rubbing the foam over my whole face, I rinsed it off thoroughly with lukewarm water. It felt like the oil and impurities left on my skin were washed away refreshingly. But my skin didn't feel overly squeaky or stiff either.

After washing, my skin didn't feel tight but felt moisturized, which I liked. Since I have combination skin, sebum care matters to me, but I also tend to feel dryness easily after cleansing, so I prefer a moisturizing foam cleanser.

Maybe because of the 5,000ppm Jirisan charcoal in this mild foam cleanser, along with the patented aqua ceramide and 7 types of hyaluronic acid, my skin felt comfortable even after washing away everything thoroughly.

Using HEEDA Jirisan charcoal foam as a daily morning and night cleanser

I used it consistently morning and night for several days~ and the breakouts that had recently shown up seemed to calm down a bit compared to before.!! Of course, skin condition can be affected by many factors, and I've only used it for a short time, so I plan to keep using it for over a month and watch how my skin changes further, haha.
