Why I keep going back to Downtown Daegu Believe Heritage

Downtown Daegu Believe Heritage (다운타우너 대구빌리브헤리티지) is my go-to for handmade burgers around Beomeo in Suseong, Daegu, and this was my umpteenth visit. Ever since I got pregnant, I suddenly crave flour, burgers especially, haha. I used to only go to places like Lotteria, but this time I wanted a burger with a bit more class that might even be good for me!

So while I was in Suseong running errands, I dropped by Downtown for the first time in a while~~~ Their healthy handmade burgers are so good that this is my umpteenth visit..!!

What is Downtown Daegu Believe Heritage like inside?

The restaurant shares its space with Clap Pizza, and it's quite big! It's comfortable and has a nice atmosphere too! In summer they blast the air conditioning, so you can enjoy your burger nice and cool!

Downtown Burger is a brand that started in Seoul, and I hear the Believe Heritage branch is the only one in Daegu~! Downtown burgers are handmade-style, putting more emphasis on ingredients and looks than ordinary fast food,, with lots of sesame on the bun and a thick, juicy patty!

Which burger to order on your first visit to Downtown Daegu Believe Heritage

If it's your first time at Downtown, a solid classic like the Avocado Burger or the cheeseburger is the safest pick! There are a lot of different burgers on the menu.

I went with the Avocado Burger again❤️🙈 I already love avocado, and it seems to work even better together with a burger! Downtown has also recently launched a burger in collaboration with Kiri cream cheese, so it's worth a try if you're curious!

What we ordered and how much it cost

At Downtown Daegu Believe Heritage we ordered the Egg Bulgogi Smash Double set (my husband's pick, ₩15,700) and the Avocado Burger on its own (₩12,700). For a premium handmade burger, the prices are reasonable!

It takes a little while for the burgers to come out after you order, but when these carefully made burgers arrive, your jaw drops! They look so good you'll start drooling, haha 😁 I loved that they were packed full and served warm!

How does the Egg Bulgogi Smash Double Burger taste?

Thanks to the double patty, the Egg Bulgogi Smash Double Burger was especially juicy, and it balanced salty, sweet and savory nicely. My husband gave it a thumbs up and said it was so good! He let me have a bite too.

It feels like a classic bulgogi-mayo combo, so it seems to suit Korean tastes well! The egg softens the sweetness of the bulgogi sauce a little, so overall it's richer and more filling?! The crisp, pressed surface and meaty aroma of the smash patty are its strengths!!

Is the Downtown Avocado Burger too greasy?

As a signature item, the Avocado Burger is pretty and tastes better than just decent :) The soft, buttery texture of the avocado seems to tie together the patty, cheese and bacon, and the vegetables are fresh and clean, so the burger doesn't feel greasy overall!

Personally, it's the regular order I always get when I come to Downtown! It suits my taste perfectly, haha!

Downtown's thick fries are the kind you keep reaching for, haha. You don't even need ketchup, because the texture and flavor are good on their own!
