BBQ buffet in Yeongdo, Busan with a fresh veggie bar: Yukmidangchan
In short
Yukmidangchan (육미당찬) is an all-you-can-eat pork and beef BBQ restaurant on Taejong-ro in Yeongdo, Busan. On a Busan trip with a friend, the writer stopped at Yukmidangchan for lunch after the National Maritime Museum and had the Premium set for two. The fresh self-serve vegetables and clean dining room made Yukmidangchan feel better kept than chain meat buffets. Yukmidangchan is worth recommending if you want to eat your fill of meat in Yeongdo.

A recommended all-you-can-eat BBQ place in Yeongdo: Yukmidangchan

Why we stopped at Yukmidangchan on a Yeongdo trip
Yukmidangchan (육미당찬) is an all-you-can-eat meat restaurant on Taejong-ro in Yeongdo, Busan. I went for lunch with a friend during a trip to Busan. It was one of those days when you just want to stuff yourself with meat for the first time in ages.
We came to Yeongdo wanting to see Huinyeoul Culture Village ✨ but the weather was cloudy, so we skipped it and visited the nearby National Maritime Museum instead, then came here for lunch. 🥹 It was neat and clean right from the entrance, so the first impression was great 👍

- ⏰Hours: Tue–Sun 11:30–23:30, last order 22:30

The inside of Yukmidangchan was spacious and really clean. For a BBQ place, and an all-you-can-eat one at that, it felt pleasantly fresh ☺️

How much is the all-you-can-eat BBQ at Yukmidangchan?
There are two options: Signature, which goes up to pork, and Premium, which goes up to beef. On weekday lunch they are ₩16,900 and ₩21,900. We went with Premium for two :)
Oddly, the tablet for ordering was tucked into the cutlery box, which surprised me a little! haha
- Signature, weekday lunch: ₩16,900
- Signature, dinner and weekends: ₩18,900
- Premium, weekday lunch: ₩21,900
- Premium, dinner and weekends: ₩23,900
- Unlimited soju: ₩5,000 per person

The drinks are cheap.

Yukmidangchan's self-serve veggie bar: fresh and well kept
The self-serve corner at Yukmidangchan had lots of vegetables: lettuce, bracken, pickled radish wraps (ssambu), bean sprouts, braised mushrooms, kimchi, rice cakes, scallion salad, chili peppers, garlic, enoki mushrooms and more. There were plenty of choices and everything was fresh, so it felt well looked after.

When I searched, only one location came up, so it isn't a chain. That was the best part. At chain buffets a lot of places aren't well maintained, and you think, "well, a buffet is a buffet," but Yukmidangchan really felt well kept! 🌟

Ramyeon (instant noodles) is also unlimited, and there were three kinds of salt. I'd never seen wasabi salt before, so I grabbed some!

Which meats are unlimited at Yukmidangchan?
The meat corner at Yukmidangchan had thick-cut pork belly, pork neck, marinated meat, chicken and pork skin. I liked the variety.

Of course, naengsam (unmarinated frozen pork belly) and daepae (thin-sliced pork belly) couldn't be missed!

We chose Premium, so we could eat beef too. I was craving brisket (chadol-baegi) today, so I piled up as much as I wanted haha

Our grilling order: thin-sliced pork belly to brisket and chuck eye roll
We said you should start with thin meat, so we began grilling the daepae pork belly. With so many side dishes you can eat a bit of everything, which made it feel like I could fit even more 🤤

We brought brisket and alomoksim (beef chuck eye roll), and the richness of the beef really got my appetite going 😚

We grilled the pork neck nicely too

We also grilled the aged pork belly really well! The meat quality was decent too :)

Personally I love grilled bracken, and grilling the bracken from the side dishes along with the meat filled my mouth with deliciousness 😋

Doenjang jjigae and heaping rice: how big are the portions?
The doenjang stew (soybean paste stew) at Yukmidangchan is ₩3,900, and the portion was huge! We couldn't skip the stew, right?
I had ordered two bowls of rice, but the owner told us their rice comes heaped high and two bowls would be too much, so we ordered just one. It really was a lot, but I was eating in a rush, so no photo 🥲

To finish, we grilled some marinated meat too! Marinade burns easily, so controlling the heat is a must!!

Dessert and verdict on Yukmidangchan
We wrapped up with ice cream for dessert at Yukmidangchan haha. The ice cream was just okay! I was completely stuffed and in a great mood.
The owner was friendly, and I left satisfied after my first meat buffet in a long while! If you're ever in Yeongdo, I really recommend visiting Yukmidangchan! 🫶
