I was looking for a hair salon in Hapjeong and ended up getting the Essence Fit clinic at Pieum Hair Hapjeong Main Branch (피움헤어 합정 본점) haha.

Pieum Hair Hapjeong Main Branch is at 2 Dongmak-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul, on the 1.5th floor. It's just 53 m from Hapjeong Station Exit 7, so it's easy to find.

And I had an unexpected encounter at the entrance: a dog! haha It was planted right in front of the door and startled me for a second, but as I went in it stepped aside a little and even followed me. So cute! I also noted that pets are allowed here.

The slope-like area right next to the building is the Pieum Hair parking lot. Parking is free.

Hair condition before the Essence Fit clinic

Essence Fit clinic steps: protein → moisture pack → ceramide

Step 1: Protein application and heat treatment

The Essence Fit clinic started with applying a protein product to my hair.

They applied it carefully by hand, then rolled my hair up for the heat treatment.

After the protein, my hair was rolled up like this for heat treatment. It didn't end at applying the product; it continued through heat. Which products are used and how long the heat lasts can vary with your hair condition and the treatment method.

Step 2: Moisture pack, heat treatment and shampoo

Next they applied a moisture pack. Going from protein to moisture care felt like being looked after carefully, step by step! If your hair is dry or frizzy, it's worth asking what care your current hair condition needs.

After the moisture pack, I waited with heat applied again. Then they washed my hair once before moving on. Keeping photos helps you remember the order of the treatment, too. haha

Step 3: Ceramide finish and blow-dry

In the last step, they applied a ceramide product and then dried my hair. Protein and heat, moisture pack, shampoo, then the finish: there were several stages. I got to experience a process quite different from my usual hair care at home.

What I liked most at Pieum Hair Hapjeong Main Branch was that two staff worked on me together, which saved time. A multi-step clinic can take a while, but with two people helping, it was much easier to sit through.
