Daechi Korean BBQ for a team dinner: 4-cut galbi platter at Uno
In short
Uno is a hanwoo (Korean beef) restaurant between Seolleung Station and Daechi in Gangnam, Seoul, serving both lunch and evening team dinners. The writer, an office worker, ordered the Uno galbi platter with four cuts (diced short rib, beef tongue, LA galbi and marinated galbi meat) and also tried the seonji haejangguk (ox blood hangover soup) served at every table, doenjang rice and old-style bingsu. For a team dinner in Daechi, Uno's galbi platter is a good way to compare several beef cuts on one board.

Why Uno for a team dinner in Daechi
Uno is a hanwoo (Korean beef) restaurant near Seolleung Station, in the Seolleung and Daechi area, and it works well for everything from lunch to a company dinner. When you choose a place for a team dinner, the hardest part is balancing food quality and atmosphere, and this time I took my coworkers to Uno.

Uno is close to Seolleung Station, so it's easy to get to, and lots of groups come here for gatherings and team dinners, so I went in with high expectations!
Uno opening hours and menu
Uno is open 10:00–22:00, with a break from 15:00 to 17:00, and it's closed every Sunday. I'll leave the menu photos below.

Uno's strength is that both the menu and the atmosphere suit lunch as well as a group dinner. At lunch you can enjoy the meal dishes, and in the evening good-quality beef. Seolleung and Daechi are full of office workers, so it's busy at lunch, and in the evening a lot of teams came in for company dinners.

Uno side dishes and seonji haejangguk (ox blood soup)
Each table gets one seonji haejangguk (ox blood hangover soup), and the broth is outstanding. The basic side dishes look pretty good too, right? The soup could easily be sold as a standalone dish: it's spicy, deep, and the rich broth lingers in your mouth.

What comes in the Uno galbi platter?
The Uno galbi platter is one of Uno's signature menus, letting you try four cuts at once, hanwoo included. You get a generous spread of different cuts, so I'd recommend it when you come with several people.
The moment the meat came out, the fresh look of it caught my eye. Eating cut by cut was fun, and the meat was in such good condition that my expectations went up even before grilling.

Diced short rib (kkakdugi galbi)
The diced short rib in the platter gave a deep savory taste the more I chewed, and the tender texture means anyone, young or old, should enjoy it.

Fresh beef tongue with no frozen taste
Next, they grilled the beef tongue. The tongue I'd had before always felt strongly frozen, but this was the first time I'd eaten tongue as fresh as Uno's. The chewy, springy texture left an impression.
Eating the meat, I started craving a drink! No wonder it's so often recommended as a team dinner spot. They fill a frozen glass to the brim with cold draft beer, which felt like a special way to end a hot, tiring day.

Fresh LA galbi eaten without marinade
I'd always eaten LA galbi marinated, so having it as fresh, unseasoned meat at Uno was a different experience. The first bite seemed a little mild, but the more I chewed, the more the rich flavor of the galbi filled my whole mouth, which I really liked.

Finishing with marinated galbi meat
Of course you finish with the marinated galbi meat! Even after three kinds of meat, the marinated galbi at the end felt like a palate cleanser. The marinade isn't heavy and brings out the natural flavor of the galbi, so it was a really tasty finish.

Uno also gives you beef sushi if you write a review, so everyone should give it a try~

Uno doenjang rice and old-style bingsu for dessert
For the meal after the meat, I ordered Uno's doenjang (fermented soybean paste) rice. The hangover soup had been so good that I ordered it with high hopes, and even though I was full from the meat, the savory depth of the doenjang stood out and it was packed with ingredients, so I scraped the bowl clean.

They also gave us old-style bingsu (shaved ice) for dessert, and even the bingsu is loaded with toppings!! I felt the owner's generosity throughout the whole meal.
Is Uno a good team dinner spot in Seolleung and Daechi?
If you're looking for a beef restaurant near Seolleung Station or deciding on a team dinner spot in Daechi, I recommend Uno! Thanks to the excellent meat quality of the Uno galbi platter and the tasty food, it's a place you can enjoy for both lunch and company dinners.
