Open-kitchen counter seats and a whole egg at Eunpyeong ramen: Oreno
In short
Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong is a chicken-broth ramen restaurant at 366 Bulgwangcheon-gil in Eunpyeong, Seoul, about 316 meters from Saejeol Station Exit 1. From the solo counter seats you can watch each bowl being cooked; the writer had tori paitan (13,000 won), which came with a whole boiled egg, and karai paitan (13,000 won), with free refills of noodles, broth, rice and kimchi. The milky, deeply savory chicken broth made Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong a filling one-bowl meal.

Where is Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong? 316m from Saejeol Station Exit 1

Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong is a chicken-broth ramen restaurant on Bulgwangcheon-gil, about 316 meters from Saejeol Station Exit 1. It's a great spot to stop by while walking along Bulgwangcheon-gil.
A ramen restaurant in Eunpyeong worth visiting when you're craving rich broth. I wanted a warm, hearty bowl of ramen while walking along Bulgwangcheon (stream), so I stopped by Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong. I usually love chicken-broth ramen, so I was especially looking forward to their signature tori paitan.
Turns out the original location has been selected for the Michelin Guide Seoul 2026, and apparently for eight years straight since 2019 — wow. I went in with high expectations.
Inside Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong: solo counter seats and group tables
A space made for focusing on your ramen

Right at the entrance there was a coat hanger,

Once inside, the vibe was comfortable for picking a menu item and focusing on your meal. There were both group tables and solo seats, and plenty of people dining alone.
Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong menu: only two signature bowls

Oreno Ramen's signature menu is just two items: tori paitan and karai paitan. Tori paitan is a rich, savory chicken white-broth ramen, while karai paitan adds spice to that same savory chicken broth base. The spice level of karai paitan is a bit milder than Shin Ramyun, so not very spicy at all.
Rice, Korean-made spicy kimchi, red pickled ginger, and cilantro can be added for free via the kiosk, and noodles, broth, and rice all get free refills.
Watching the ramen being cooked from the counter seats
My review after trying both tori paitan and karai paitan

After ordering, I got to sit at the counter seats and watch the ramen being made haha. They thoughtfully had hair ties on hand, and the side dishes, wet wipes, bowls, and chopsticks were all neatly arranged.

- Tori paitan 13.0
- Karai paitan 13.0
- Coca-Cola Zero 2.0
- + rice, Korean-made spicy kimchi

When I ordered a Coca-Cola Zero, it came with a glass of ice. What I loved about Oreno Ramen was that they'll give you Korean-made spicy kimchi if you ask! Koreans really do need kimchi with their ramyun..

Free refills available on noodles (half/full), broth, rice, and kimchi.
Tori paitan: milky chicken broth with a whole boiled egg
What impressed me most about the tori paitan was the milky-white broth. The first bite hit with the deep flavor of chicken broth, followed by a lingering savory richness. Eating the tender chicken with the noodles made the flavor even more layered.
They even put in a whole egg — such generosity.

How spicy is karai paitan? Milder than Shin Ramyun
Karai paitan had its own appeal, different from tori paitan, with spice added to the rich chicken broth. I worried it might be too spicy, but it was actually milder than Shin Ramyun. Not very spicy at all, and a great choice if you want something with a bit of a kick.

If you like savory broth, go for tori paitan; if you're craving something spicier, karai paitan is the way to go.

The chicken was also tender and delicious, so I inhaled it..
Is Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong worth it, and who should go?

What I liked best about Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong was, as expected, the deep, milky chicken broth. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good ramen spot in Eunpyeong, or to anyone who wants a hearty meal with rich broth.

Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong was a great stop while walking along Bulgwangcheon! If I'm ever near Bulgwangcheon craving ramen again, this is a place I'd want to come back to.
