Seongsu Korean BBQ date with red wine and star lighting: Marblejeong
In short
Marblejeong is a 1++ Korean beef restaurant in Seongsu, Seoul, about 157m from Ttukseom Station Exit 5. The dining room is black with gold and green accents, star-shaped lights and a wine bar, and the order here was the 1++ mixed beef platter of sirloin, beef belly and brisket with a bottle of red wine, with staff grilling each cut so the table could focus on conversation instead of the fire. For an evening date in Seongsu with Korean beef and wine together, Marblejeong is a strong pick.

Some days you want atmosphere AND proper Korean beef in Seongsu, right?! 🥩💕 This time I went to 'Marblejeong,' a Korean beef spot near Ttukseom Station✨
I expected a beef restaurant to feel a bit understated, but the moment I walked in it was totally different from what I imagined 👀
The vibe was way prettier than I expected, and we got to enjoy beef and wine properly haha. I took tons of photos, so let me show you one by one 💗

Inside Marblejeong: does this look like a Korean beef restaurant?

Since it's close to Ttukseom Station, it wasn't hard to find 🙌🏻 The building has a big MARBLEJEONG sign, so you spot it right away once you're nearby!

Even the walkway leading inside looked prettier than I expected, which surprised me 👀
🖤 Wait, this is a beef restaurant?! The star lighting is gorgeous ✨
The whole space is black-toned with gold accents, and green chairs give it a nice pop 💚 There are star-shaped lights scattered around too, so there are quite a few spots to take photos ⭐️✨
On one side there's a bar area lined with wine bottles and glasses 🍷 So instead of a typical BBQ joint feel, it's more like being at a restaurant or wine bar!
We came for beef but ended up feeling like we were on a proper date haha 💕

There are nice tables for two as well as separate rooms, so the place was bigger than it looked from outside. If you have a larger group, booking a room would work well 🙌🏻
Marblejeong menu: courses and the 1++ mixed Korean beef platter

At the entrance there was a special course menu on display✨ Courses were split by price range, but instead of a course we picked the 1++ mixed beef platter! 🥩❤️

They also have a lunch menu, so worth noting🍲🍝

Very Seongsu of them, they had a foreign-language menu ready, and I did see quite a few international guests around!
The four sauces served at Marblejeong
Looking at the table, there was even a note explaining the sauces to eat with the beef 👀
- 🧂 Maldon salt
- 🌱 Fresh wasabi
- 🍄 Shiitake horseradish
- 🌿 Perilla pesto
After dipping in just salt and wasabi for a while, switching to something with a totally different aroma like perilla pesto changed the whole vibe 🌿
Side dishes and salad came out too, so we'd grab a bite of those between pieces of meat and go right back to the beef 🥗➡️🥩
Which cuts come on the 1++ mixed beef platter?

The 1++ mixed beef platter we ordered came with three cuts: sirloin, brisket point, and beef belly! It arrives spread out on a big plate, and the marbling meant photos first, obviously haha 📸❤️
Each cut had its own little name tag, so we could immediately tell 'oh, this is sirloin, this is brisket point!'
Asparagus, mushrooms, and garlic came alongside, making the plate look even more generous 💚 I'd wanted to try a bit of everything rather than sticking to one cut, so ordering the mixed platter was definitely the right call 😆
❤️ Sirloin on the grill first 🔥
The staff grilled the sirloin for us first! Thick slices hit the grill and started sizzling away, and that's when I suddenly got really hungry haha 🤤

They grilled it golden-brown on both sides then cut it into bite-sized pieces, with a hint of pink still left inside — looked exactly right ❤️

Since the staff grilled and cut each cut for us in order starting with sirloin, all we had to do was wait and eat 😆 We didn't have to keep watching the grill, which made it easy to chat and sip wine at the same time. That was especially great for a date 💕

For the first bite I kept it simple — just a light dip in Maldon salt! 🧂 Then I added a bit of fresh wasabi. Personally, with Korean beef, I prefer just a light touch of salt at first rather than piling on multiple sauces right away 😋
🥩 Next up: beef belly
After the sirloin, we moved on to brisket point 🔥 Same Korean beef, but a different cut gave a totally different feel.
Dipping in salt, adding a touch of wasabi, one piece after another haha💙 If we'd stuck with just one cut it might've gotten a bit repetitive, but going back and forth between sirloin and brisket point meant the plate emptied before we knew it 😂
🤤 The brisket vanished in seconds
And then beef belly! Since it's thin, it sizzles the second it hits the grill🔥 Flip once, wait a bit, and it's ready to eat haha
It was great to pick off while waiting for the sirloin and brisket point 😆 We also grilled the mushrooms, asparagus, and garlic and ate a bit in between each piece of meat 💚
Working through all three cuts evenly, the plate emptied faster than expected 🥹❤️
Pairing Korean beef with red wine: Isla Negra Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon

We also ordered a bottle of red wine that day 🍷 With Korean beef in front of us and wine now too, first, cheers~~🥂💕

Eating slowly — one bite of beef, one sip of wine — matched Marblejeong's vibe really well❤️ With a wine bar on one side and dim lighting overall, I think choosing wine over soju was the right call this time❤️
If you want Korean beef with a glass of wine in Seongsu, this combo is definitely worth it 🍷🥩
