Grilling eel, pork belly and chicken neck together
Time to start eating! First I put the eel, pork belly and chicken neck on the grill together.

Opening event: free bokbunja wine
Songrimbok Jangeo even gave us bokbunja (Korean black raspberry wine) as an opening event! Total score! And bokbunja wine is just what you want with eel, right? Unlimited grilled eel plus free bokbunja wine was seriously generous.

I grilled everything golden brown and alternated between pork belly, chicken and eel, and it was so good.

The eel was tender, and the pork belly and especially the chicken neck had a sneaky charm, so I kept eating.

I kept bringing more eel and meat from the self-serve bar and ate away happily.

Ginger with eel, pa-kimchi with pork belly
My parents focused on the grilled eel, while I went after the eel and chicken neck!

I piled ginger on the eel and paired the pork belly with pa-kimchi (scallion kimchi), and it was delicious. Even when everyone's tastes differ a little, the land, sea and sky unlimited menu made Songrimbok Jangeo in Jijok-dong, Daejeon even better!

Sipping the bittersweet bokbunja wine alongside made the flavors pop even more. It felt like I really got a proper stamina boost from eel in this muggy weather~ It's perfect for a meal out with your parents, and the seating is so roomy and comfortable that Songrimbok Jangeo is also ideal as a group-gathering restaurant in Jijok-dong, Daejeon.
