Why Chat Baker for an evening dessert?

After dinner with my daughters, we went to Chat Baker (chat baker) in Gongdo, Anseong, for mango bingsu (Korean shaved ice). I had heard that Chat Baker had launched summer bingsu menus with a record-breaking look.

It's suddenly gotten hot, so it's the season when you instinctively crave something cold. I recently had a cozy evening date with my beloved daughters. After a tasty dinner we wondered what to have for dessert, and my younger daughter, who had been singing about wanting cold mango bingsu since last time, got her way!

Even late in the evening, Chat Baker is a large café whose glamorous, stylish exterior stands out from far away. The building lights up the night, and inside the lively mood continued.

Even though we came late in the evening, the glamorous, stylish exterior caught my eye from a distance.

There's plenty of parking in front of the café, so you can visit without worrying about it~ When we opened the door, lots of people were already relaxing even at that hour. Many came in groups, so the tables were buzzing with energy~

It's a grand yet trendy big café with great atmosphere, and it put me in a good mood the moment we walked in.

Are cakes and bread still available late in the evening?

The showcase at Chat Baker was still full of cakes in the evening, but a lot of the bakery items were gone. The signature and main popular items were still comfortably in stock, though.

Chat Baker is already known by word of mouth as one of Anseong's best spots for cake and salt bread.

As the rumors said, the showcase was packed with gorgeous cakes you can't take your eyes off~

Because we came so late, many bakery items had sold out, which was a little disappointing, but luckily the signature and main popular items were still comfortably available!

There was also a Naver receipt photo review and save-the-place event going on in one corner of the café. If you take part, you get a same-day French butter salt bread or a Chat Baker cup coaster, so do join in if you visit!

What does Chat Baker's coconut fresh mango bingsu taste like? (₩29,000)

Chat Baker's coconut fresh mango bingsu costs ₩29,000: thinly sliced fresh mango covers the bowl without a gap, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and mango syrup. We also ordered a salt bread and a salt cream bread.

Our family's only goal that day was mango bingsu, so we ordered salt bread (a buttery roll with coarse salt) and salt cream bread to go with it~

When the buzzer went off and we picked up our order, my daughters and I cheered the moment we saw it!

Thinly sliced fresh mango covered the big bowl without a gap, and in the center sat a scoop of soft vanilla ice cream with plenty of sweet mango syrup drizzled over it.

I picked up a piece of mango with my fork and took a bite, and the sweetness filling my mouth and the soft texture were so good~ It wasn't an artificial sweetness at all; the rich flavor of properly ripe fresh mango really came through.

My daughters kept saying "This is so good" and wolfed it down.

The salt bread, a textbook crispy-outside, soft-inside, and the salt cream bread filled with smooth cream were both a perfect match for the bingsu~

Chat Baker has a spacious, comfortable 2nd floor as well as the 1st, and it's also an LP café where you can enjoy music and an outdoor terrace café with landscaping. In the daytime it's known for its brunch pasta too.

It's an Anseong LP café where you can enjoy great music alongside stylish interiors, and also an Anseong outdoor terrace café with lush greenery, so it's charming in any of the four seasons.

By day it's also a famous brunch and pasta spot in Gongdo, Anseong, so I promised my daughters we'd come back at lunchtime for pasta and risotto~
