Sejong Thai restaurant: tom yum pho with extra noodles, Mekong Thai

Mekong Thai Sejong Naseong Branch is a casual Asian restaurant serving both Vietnamese and Thai food on the 2nd floor of NS Building in Naseong-dong, Sejong. On a day of on-and-off rain, the writer made a first visit with her sister and brother-in-law, ordering regular and large tom yum pho (14,900 and 16,900 won) and spicy seafood fried rice (15,900 won); the sour, spicy tom yum broth was so good they added extra rice noodles (3,000 won). Hongdae pasta spot on a rainy day: window seat and solo sets, Pasta Go

Pasta Go Hongdae Branch is a budget pasta restaurant on Wausan-ro 33-gil near Exit 4 of Hongik Univ. Station in Mapo, Seoul. On a rainy day, the writer and a close friend sat by the window at Pasta Go and ordered two solo sets, each in the 16,000 won range: garlic butter shrimp pasta with sweet potato pizza (16,125 won) and spicy hot rosé chicken pasta with fries (16,425 won). They also got a free cream churro through the review event. Because every Pasta Go solo set includes pasta, a side and a drink, it is great value for the price, and the writer would happily go back.
