It's so hot these days, isn't it?! Even in this weather, I was craving a piping hot bowl of pho. So off I went to a Sejong Lake Park favorite, Mekong Thai Sejong Lake Park Branch!! haha It's an Asian food restaurant that's just right for when you want something warm and brothy after a walk around Sejong Lake Park on a nice day.
What are the hours and the atmosphere at Mekong Thai Sejong Lake Park Branch?

This is Mekong Thai Sejong Lake Park Branch, a Sejong Lake Park favorite!~

It's open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., with last order at 8:30 p.m. Break time is 3 to 5 p.m. on weekdays and 3:30 to 5 p.m. on weekends.
Step inside and you'll notice the clean interior. Seats are spaced generously and there are plenty of wide tables, so it suits families and works well for a date, too.

They even have a high chair!~
How is the Mekong Thai menu organized, and how do you order?

Mekong Thai serves both Vietnamese and Thai dishes, so you really have a wide range to choose from.

You order food at Mekong Thai Sejong Lake Park Branch through a kiosk.

It starts with the classic rich-broth beef pho lineup, then goes on to stir-fried noodles (pad thai), fried rice (nasi goreng, pineapple fried rice) and crispy fried side dishes. Even if it's your first visit, each item is well explained, so it's easy to pick what suits you!
Table setup and extras: red pickled radish, pickled onions, chilled tea

The table was set with bowls, tissues, cups, spoons, chopsticks and sauces.
Here are the red pickled radish and pickled onions. Eating them alongside the food really got my appetite going, haha

Not plain water but tea!!! haha Chilled tea, that is, haha

Cheers with my little niece!!~ hehe
How much are the tom yum pho, brisket pho and pad thai, and how do they taste?

This time at Mekong Thai we ordered large tom yum pho (₩16,900), large brisket pho (₩14,900) and pad thai (₩14,900). The food finally arrived, and just look at it, my mouth is watering. I filmed a video too!~
Pad thai: ordered because it reminded me of Phuket
The pad thai came out first!!~~ It's the pad thai I ate sooo much of on my trip to Phuket in Thailand!!! It made me crave it again, so I ordered it, haha. Mekong Thai's pad thai is stir-fried rice noodles with shrimp, beef, onion, mushrooms, garlic chives, bean sprouts and Mekong Thai's own sauce.

Crunchy bean sprouts, springy noodles, shrimp, mushrooms, meat and more! They don't skimp on ingredients~ and the nutty crunch of the nuts made it fun to chew, too.

Brisket pho (large): rich broth with extra cilantro
Next came the brisket pho with its clean-tasting brisket. We ordered the large for this one too. It was packed with both rice noodles and meat.
We asked for cilantro, so we put it in the brisket pho and in the tom yum pho as well.

One sip of the brisket pho broth and it was rich and deep, the kind that really settles your stomach!

Black hoisin sauce with just a tiny bit of red chili sauce! haha I dipped the meat in it! hehe

Tom yum pho (large): sweet, sour and spicy broth
Large tom yum pho!!!! haha Sweet, sour and spicy tom yum pho!! hehe Mekong Thai's tom yum pho is rice noodle soup simmered richly with shrimp, mussels, mushrooms, lemongrass, lime leaves and Mekong Thai's own tom yum sauce, with a spicy, sour and sweet broth.
Tom yum is a love-it-or-hate-it thing, right?!~ But me, my sister and my brother-in-law all!! eat it happily haha We love it~~ hehe

Cilantro into the tom yum pho too!! hehe

Since we ordered three dishes and shared them, we scooped a little at a time into our own bowls.
