Gangnam Station café for sunlit selfies: Something About Coffee

The café I'm posting about today is one I really want to recommend to anyone in Gangnam who loves dessert 🍰 The moment I walked into Something About Coffee (썸띵어바웃커피), I knew it was dessert heaven, haha ㅠㅠ ✨

What kind of café is Something About Coffee?

Something About Coffee is a big three-floor café on Gangnam-daero 102-gil in Gangnam. Each floor from 1 to 3 has a different seating mood, so you can pick a spot to match what you're in the mood for haha.

You order on the 2nd floor, and on the terrace you can relax in natural light ☀️

A sunny selfie spot where you can stay for hours

If you're looking for a café near Sinnonhyeon Station, Something About Coffee is easy to get to and so spacious that it's great for sitting a long time 🙌 The sunlight here is just perfect for selfies... I took over 100, lol. My skin looked so, so good in the sunlight.

What desserts did I eat at Something About Coffee?

There's a huge variety of cakes, and I had the mango cake and a cookie with melted marshmallow haha. Both were seriously delicious ㅠㅠ 😭

On top of that, there's butter tteok (butter rice cake) and pistachio cookies too, the dessert lineup is no joke....! It's so varied that if you ate one of everything you could cover breakfast, lunch and dinner lol. For a Gangnam café, this dessert selection is top tier 👏 It feels like you wouldn't regret ordering anything haha.

Is the matcha einspänner really the signature drink?

They said it's the signature at Something About Coffee, so I picked the matcha einspänner (coffee topped with cream), and it was crazy good lol 😂 I was like, einspänner and matcha...? But no, you have to try it. It's a taste you only get once you've had it.

The bitterness of matcha meeting the cream was way better than I expected. One sip and I knew right away why it's the signature ✨

Are there drinks besides coffee?

The menu has a huge range of drinks too. From Americano and flat white to hazelnut latte, caramel macchiato, black sesame cream latte, matcha cream cold brew and einspänner, the cream lineup is especially solid!

There are sparkling ades too, like lemon, grapefruit and cheonggyul (green mandarin), so people who don't drink coffee have plenty of options 🍋 I ordered the lime sparkling ade~ haha. It's perfect for this heavy summer weather! ☺️👍

Is Something About Coffee good as a date café near Sinnonhyeon Station?

With three floors and a terrace, there's no better date-course café near Sinnonhyeon Station 💕 Every floor has a different mood, cozy on the 1st floor, a view on the 2nd-floor terrace, so you can sit wherever suits you. That's the real charm!

There's the fun of choosing desserts and the fun of choosing drinks, and ordering a bunch to share makes it even more enjoyable haha 😊
