What kind of café is Mini Male Coffee Roaster Yeoksam Branch?

Mini Male Coffee Roaster (minimale) has cafés in Yeoksam, Yangjae, Gyodae, Gwacheon and more, and the one I visited is the Yeoksam branch right in front of Yeoksam Station. Even among Yeoksam-dong cafés, it's known as a place with great coffee.

Mini Male's dessert lineup is great too, from financiers to levain cookies to cakes, so you have to try the desserts haha

You order at a kiosk in the shop, and there's no vibrating pager. The café has a simple, stylish interior.

Glass-walled terrace-style seating and window seats

The Yeoksam branch has a space separated from the main café by glass. It gets lots of light and feels like sitting on a terrace, so that's where I grabbed my seat. Great vibes!

Of course, the main café has good light too! It's on the ground floor, and the view from the window seats is lush and green and pretty.

What desserts does Mini Male Yeoksam sell?

Mini Male Coffee Roaster sells handmade baton financiers, handmade New York levain cookies and cakes. Since this is a go-to dessert spot near Yeoksam Station, let's start with the desserts! Handmade baton financiers cost around ₩3,000, and the flavors are plain, lamington, apple crumble, caramel pecan, bacon jalapeño and caramel.

There are also handmade caramel butter bars and New York levain cookies... Mini Male's desserts are handmade, so they look even tastier..!!!

The New York cookie flavors at Mini Male Coffee Roaster are original levain, dark s'mores, PB&J, oatmeal raisin and matcha chocolate chip levain.

Can't skip the cakes, right? Mini Male's cakes are tiramisu, cheesecake, fresh cream cake, and the Matilda chocolat cake!!

The Savoiardi tiramisu, made with savoiardi biscuits and mascarpone cream, looked delicious too, but this time I tried the Matilda chocolat cake haha

What are Mini Male Coffee Roaster's signature drinks?

The signature drink at Mini Male Coffee Roaster is the Helsinki latte! The coffee menu at this Yeoksam-dong café is great too ^0^ There were lots of drinks with names that already sound delicious, from the Condensada latte (condensed-milk latte) to the Royal Black Tea.

Beyond coffee, there's milk tea, black tea, matcha latte, Belgian dark chocolate and more, plus bottled drinks called "placé".

Mini Male Coffee Roaster's popular menu items are the ice cream carte, the Helsinki latte and the British Einspänner. The looks are incredible haha

Water, Wi-Fi and restrooms at Mini Male Yeoksam

There's water on the wall of the shop, so help yourself, and the Wi-Fi was strong too.

The restroom is on the building's ground floor and was easy to use.

The weather's been nice lately, so they had the door open, and sitting in the terrace-like seats was pure healing haha

How is the matcha latte placé served?

Mini Male's matcha latte placé (₩6,500) comes in a bottle, with a sticker on the side showing the date it was made! Mine was a matcha latte made that same day haha I'll leave a review of the cake and drinks one by one!

If you order a latte placé (bottled drink), ask for an ice cup and they'll give you one along with it, so it's worth asking if you're drinking in the shop.

What is the Helsinki latte like with acidic beans?

For the Helsinki latte at Mini Male you can choose between nutty beans and acidic beans, with no extra charge to switch. I had the iced Helsinki latte with acidic beans (₩5,200), and since it's Mini Male Coffee Roaster's signature, my expectations were high haha

The Helsinki latte is said to be a Helsinki-style latte, slightly sweet and smooth with no bitterness.

You can pick nutty or acidic beans, so I ordered the acidic ones (no extra charge to switch).

It's served unmixed, so stir it well before drinking. Watching it blend is its own kind of healing,, ☕️🥛

I've been into lattes made with acidic beans lately, and they definitely let you taste more of the bean's flavor and aroma. I recommend the acidic Helsinki latte at Mini Male too!!

What does the Matilda chocolat cake taste like?

Mini Male's Matilda chocolat cake (₩8,600) was rich and fudgy, a perfect match for the latte. And of course, the dessert haha There were so many tempting ones that I agonized for ages before picking the Matilda chocolate cake,

and it was totally the best choice!!!

Rich, fudgy chocolate that goes perfectly with milk. Eating the chocolate cake with the Helsinki latte, I ended up downing the latte in one go- I almost ordered more milk..

If you go to Mini Male Coffee Roaster for dessert, definitely get the Matilda chocolat cake 🍫

Would I go back to Mini Male Coffee Roaster Yeoksam?

At this Yeoksam Station café I tried the chocolate cake, the matcha latte and the Helsinki latte, and everything was a safe bet. The lattes and the cake were both delicious, so it's a café I'd happily go back to whenever I'm near Yeoksam Station 💕
